Boarders Inn & Suites by Cobblestone Hotels – Columbus

I stayed here twice this week when traveling to see family and friends. First time I stayed in a room with a whirlpool and the second time in a regular room. When I filled the tub, the water was brown. Sure from rust in the plumbing. So I didn’t use the tub. Waste of extra money. Second stay in a regular room, the ceiling looked like it was about to fall in the shower. Then there were two remotes for one tv. Not sure what one to use as neither one really worked. Then I found stuff on the floor the cleaner should have found. Good for them it’s the only Hotel in Columbus, WI.

Worst stay we’ve ever had at Borders. First day in room didn’t get cleaned till almost 4 and then it was just pick up garbage I already bagged and put out, picked up one set of towels we used and gave a new set, we got toilet paper, Kleenex, garbage liners, plastic cups as not enough after one day? Second day turned on hair dryer and it sparked, popped and blue out all electrical in our room. After trying to communicate with two staff who did not speak English, one maid that did got the manager up who reset the fuse. He left the property and discovered something happened to the tv. Could get only the weather channel. Satellite, cable, internet all not working. Three front desk people were told several times during day and manager out of town. One said she would text him as only option was move to a different room on a different floor in the fifteenth minutes we had before attending a family event. Who wants to pack up everything and move to another room? All electric had come back on but nobody knew anything about the cable/satellite/tv. Unacceptable! Gal said she texted manager several times but no answer. We requested a bill adjustment but only he could authorize that. When leaving at 6 this morning asked again about contact with manager-no notes on the incident and no contact but he would be in at 8. Lot of good that would do us. We have always stayed at that motel multiple times in the past without ever having an issue. Makes us wonder about owner?

It’s nice, clean, and an upgrade facility. Pool was a bit crowded with a ton of kids but it was already late so it was ok.

This is our 2nd stay at this hotel in order to be close to family. The bed is comfortable, the pillows are good, the lay out of the room is good, and the place is clean. We bring our very well-behaved dog and they put us in a room on the far end of the building so we can take her out to the yard across the parking lot. Oh and the coffee in the morning is excellent.

Room was ok. Pool was dirty. We used a handicapped parking space and it was full of snow and ice. It wasn't from recent snow. Also the emergency exit was not excisable as there was snow and ice on the other side. Breakfast was what we expected , nothing fancy but edible . Some of our family also rented rooms. Lamps without light bulbs, fridge inop, didn't get the room they reserved.

I've stayed here many times on business and always pleased, however i was very disappointed this time. I brought my kids and we were looking forward to the hot tub.. and it was broke!.. so upsetting
