La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Bellingham

We came with our grandchildren for a little getaway. They loved the pool & really enjoyed the breakfast.

great location for what we needed. close to groceries for the kids, a few restaurants, a great home base to explore the area

All that a family wants. Pool. Hot tub. Free parking. Breakfast included. Clean room. Fridge and microwave. And grocery store and Starbucks next door. Perfect

Room was clean and bed was comfy. The pool room was very humid which created a bunch of rust but seemed clean and the kids were happy.

Well we got in a car accident and this hotel had good staff with empathy and kindness also because it was all unexpected me and my kids were sore and at the moment the card didn’t work for pain meds and the lady said she would pay for it and to just take care of my babies I wanted to cry it meant a lot thank u for making us feel safe and feeding us well your staff is awesome

Good stay but our room had a horrible smell to it, it was very clean just stinky. The guy at front desk gave me some spray to deodorize and I sprayed every inch of the carpet, made a world of difference. And when I go away on a holiday, I sleep in!!!! Their free breakfast only went till 9 am on weekdays, I find that kinda silly, but other than that beds were very comfy and quite a quiet hotel so slept like a baby😊

Only complaint is that the pool and hot tub were not operating at the time of check in. Would have been nice to know in advance as I have two disappointed kids. Unable to change the rate/ask for a discount due to booking through Expedia and not the hotel directly.

I don’t know anything about the property because even though we purchased a night at La Quinta, we weren’t able to stay there. After our booking and purchase, we drove two hours expecting a welcome reception. Instead, the desk attendant told us the hotel had no rooms available because their staff hadn’t cleaned all of the rooms and so they couldn’t let us stay in them. There was absolutely no offer to help us find another hotel or to assist us in finding some resolution. Furthermore, there was no offer of a voucher or anything like that. I went next door to the Howard Johnson Inn and, while they didn’t have a room, the receptionist was very sympathetic and called other local hotels to see if they had any availability. I realize mistakes happen and life is full of inconveniences, but someone can always be helpful and try to make it right. We are a family that lives on a Puget Sound island that can only be accessed by ferry. By that time of night, there was absolutely no way we could go home and we were totally at the mercy of La Quinta. In the end Expedia helped us out and put us up in a hotel even though it was the hotel’s fault. Many kudos to Expedia! My view of La Quinta is very sour, however. I don’t ask for anything more than owning your mistake and making it right with your customers!

The swimming pool was well maintained and my family enjoyed using it. Thanks.

This is our favorite place to stay when we visit Bellingham to visit family & enjoy the area. Everything is always very clean, the staff kind & helpful, the pool perfect for the kids & a delish breakfast!
