Western Front Hotel

Friendly staff and a beautiful place. The room was spacious, clean and welcoming. There is even a small bucket in your room than contains a ‘bucket list’. When you compete the fun list, just leave the bucket and paper outside your door that evening and by the next morning the bucket will be full of morning treats. Pretty fun idea, especially for the kids. The rooftop lounge was nice and the game room has a pool table and tv’s. The Mexican seafood restaurant attached to the hotel was incredible affordable with exceptional food. We ordered the spicy fajita, fried tilapia, and fish tacos. Also there is a small free salsa bar with fresh salsas. We normally stay in Abingdon but thought we would try a new town and St. Paul was quiet with numerous outdoorsie things to do. There is also a free movie theater if you’re in town for a showing. ET was the free movie showing when we visited.

I give a total of 4 stars (out of 5) The staff was exceptional and the room was spotless. VERY clean, VERY comfortable. Staff was super helpful and friendly, especially the lady working the front desk. Free coffee 24/7 was an added bonus. Location was safe and quiet. My only knock would be no microwave in the room (not a big deal really) and the Wi-Fi was incredibly slow. We only got about 3 mbps which is VERY slow. We were able to stream on our devices, with some buffering, but my son's video games lagged quite a bit, if they would even load at all. This wasn't a great issue, because we weren't in the room except for at night. Faster Wi-Fi and/or Smart tv's would turn my 4 stars into 5! With that being said, at this price point, with the room and staff as great as they were, even with the slow WiFi, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again, and with family in the area, we probably will.
