Best Western Red River Inn

When we checked in we had to wait for the hotel staff to finish her visit in the living room area with her friends before we could get our room keys. We checked out the indoor pool while we were waiting and was told it was closed because the heater wasn't working. This was one of the reasons we booked this hotel so the kids could swim. We found the room to be unclean. There was a blue towel hanging on the back of the bathroom door. All other hotel towels were white. We also found a loofah in the shower that didn't belong to us. There was a partial roll of toilet paper and no replacement. When I tried to use the shower half of the water came out of the lower faucet and half of the water came out of the shower head so there was no pressure. The second day we were there we went downstairs to find only 1 rock hard waffle left for breakfast. There was only one hotel staff waiting on the front desk and cooking. So we had to go out for breakfast. The staff that day was pleasant and helpful though, supplying us with more needed toilet paper. Once we returned that night we found that neither of our room keys were working. I went back downstairs to find another hotel guest having the same problem and to have the hotel staff tell him that he must have put the hotel key too close to his cell phone. I quickly explained that this issue was on them because I have the same issue with both keys and both were kept away from our phones and in separate locations. WIll not return.

I have stayed here many times for many years with family and friends. We always chose this place because of the proximity and of course the breakfast was always great. I can not say that anymore. The breakfast was the worst I have ever experience ever. It’s all prefabricated frozen foods now. Very disappointing. I had to take the kids and other people in the party with us to a restaurant to eat. That’s how terrible the breakfast was. The staff was very kind. The place was very clean. I have never complained before. But someone else needs to know about this. If this remains the new normal then we will all look for different accommodation in the future.

Stay in Wichita Falls! This hotel was the worst on all levels. Showed up with family in tow and had reserved the suite. Once we showed up though we were given a standard room and was told no other rooms were available. The halls reeked of the Devil’s cabbage and brewskis. Great if you’re a frat bro not so much for family. In the room TV was broke, refrigerator was broke, shower head flew off, and the toilet ran all night. Won’t be back!

Was a family trip. Having stayed here a few years ago, i was looking forward to the stay. Total let down. Got the 2 queen suite, ended up handicap room (not a big deal) but didnt need it. Took almost 20 minutes to get checked in, long phone call on speaker to front desk clerk with little English to expedia to get some code confirmation that I already paid. The manager was running around trying to take care of lots of issues. Keys didnt work(twice). Manager had to come up with a wire hanger thing to actually break into our room. Our shower had no curtain and the handle for the spray hose was broken so you had to just hold it-- in the wide open bathroom to shower. The toilet constantly ran, filled, ran, filled (the handle jiggle didnt work). Breakfast was decent. But overall conditions were no where as nice as it was 2 years ago.

Nothing unique. We reserved a queen suite with a couch a month before our visit. When we got to the hotel we were told there weren't any of the kind of rooms we reserved left. When i asked about a change in price the night receptionist said "no you already got a discount." There were 2 adults and 4 kids in our reservation so one of my kids had to sleep on a chair and footstool pushed together. There was NO offer on how they could fix the situation. We had been in the vehicle 5 hours and were exhausted or we would of found somewhere else to stay. No one offered to see if there were better accommodations after checkout the next day. When i talked to the morning lady today as we left she wasn't happy and said we should've been offered somewhere bigger that night. The toilet wasn't completely clean and ran unless we took the lid off and fixed the flapper so it would seal.

Staff was friendly indoor pool was freezing so not good for children breakfast was great

The front desk staff had their kids there. The bathroom had mold on bathtub. Im allegic to mold. I have a picture of the bathtub.

Lock on first room given to us wouldn't lock , they moved us to another room and if door hadn't had latch on it the same person who changed our room would have walked in with another family to give them that room. Then asked if we had just checked in. Then sometime that evening they turned our door keys off.
