We have always enjoyed staying at this hotel when we are in Tyler to visit family. Our stay this time was not as pleasant. It took over 40 minutes to check in. They were not able to accommodate our request to have our daughter on the same floor. There was a blow up life size doll left in our closet. When I went to shower, there was some long hair on the shower wall. We could hear creaking noises from the people staying on the second floor.

Good clean facility that we keep coming back to when in the area. We were disappointed the pool was out of service this time but things happen. My family looks forward to the breakfast bar with lots of options. Recommended.

The hotel was close to the Cumberland shopping center. There are a lot of restaurants to choose from and places to shop. It was nice not to have to deal with all the Tyler traffic on Broadway and the Loop 323. It was very hot so walking wasn't really an option. The king size bed was comfortable and the a/c was cold. The dislikes are, the refrigerator in the room didn't work and the ice machine on the floor didn't work. The floor (pan) in the shower had a big crack in it. Also for those people who had kids, the pool was closed "due to maintenance issues".

We love to stay at hampton Inn, but very disappointed. We picked it for outdoor pool. Pool was to nasty for kids to swim.
