Best Western Temple Inn & Suites

Nice family stay

We had a wonderful stay at Best Western - Temple. Our family was displaced after a tornado and we could not have picked a better place to stay. From the friendly staff, good breakfast, pool, and laundry we were happily surprised and would stay again.

The staff were super helpful and even more friendly! The breakfast was a "full" breakfast---eggs, sausage, ham, waffles, cereals, bagels, juice, coffee. The only drawback, which they try to overcome with free earplugs, is that some rooms are close to the highway traffic noise. It did NOT bother us in Rm 122. Great location! What a fun, family-friendly town---parks, museums, more parks, all kinds of sports. Loved it!

The beds were comfy, had to double check them to make sure they were clean. I felt I had to do this because when I got to the room the mirrors had kids hand prints all in them, the floors were not vacuumed well with left behind cereal. The sink leaked so I woke up to a puddle in the bathroom floor and all over the sink. On the plus side, the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Our stay was decent. The room was ok. The best thing about the room was the space-enough for a family of five. Texas Roadhouse is right next door-that was another plus. Could use better attention in terms of cleanliness. The couch had some stains on it. We found a piece of gum on the side of one of the headboards. The hotel itself smelled a bit muggy/old in the hallway we entered. Kids were bummed the pool wasn’t open. I wish they would put that information on the website. The pool was closed until the first of May. We did use the gym. It was ok. Not the best equipment-pretty old and outdated. We didn’t try breakfast. Probably wouldn’t stay here again
