La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Belton - Temple South

Besides the barking dog, and the kid yelling super early in the morning it was a pretty decent stay. Staff was friendly, breakfast was ok, room was clean. I'd book again.

We have made this our hotel when we visit family in Belton, Texas. It is exceptional. Great breakfast too!

The staff is friendly and the hotel is clean. The building is becoming dated. Interior walls need paint, carpets are showing age, etc. For the rate, it needs to be well maintained. The TV channel list was limited and only contained half of the channels on the guide list. The TV lost its signal often and would buffer. No kid channels. The breakfast was really nice and had many options. Dining areas were clean. Room was clean.

La Quinta is close to Mary Hardin-Baylor where I attended a class reunion on April 22, 2023. When I arrived at the Inn around 5:00, a polite teenage boy volunteered to help me roll my cart and lifted my suitcase. When I left the next morning, a gentleman coming behind me down the hall offered to roll my cart out to the car. He was an older man and had no ID badge. My car was parked closer by and there were others in the parking lot, so I felt safe. After he placed my luggage in the car where I indicated, he held out his hand. He was not expecting a tip. I don't think he would have taken one. He held my hand and briefly prayed for me, my family and my classmates at the reunion. otherwise I stayed in my room and had a good night's rest. The only problem I had was trying to drain water out of the sink. I couldn't find any way to open the metal stopper. I had to use my fingernails to pry it up. Even so, it didn't completely drain.

Don’t expect to use the pool area over run with kids with no supervision and adults with no manners.
