Quality Inn Marshall

The pool was not available when we arrived children had been looking forward swimming. Summer's probably not the best time to start working on a pool at a hotel. But the lady that checked us in was wonderful she told us about a new arcade but it just opened that she took her children to. So instead of swimming we went and played arcade games and had a good time. She turn the negative into a positive.

The La Quinta in Marshall Texas was an ok stay. A positive was that all rooms opened to the inside of the hotel. All entrances required a room key to gain access. Room was clean. Beds were comfortable, but had two double beds vs two queen beds. Queen beds would have made the stay a bit more comfortable. Breakfast was good. Staff was courteous. There were a few rougher individuals hanging around the hotel all three days of stay - not sure if this was due to hotel's location near I-20 or if these were extended family members of staff. Would recommend staying in Longview for the same price or spending extra $20-$25 to upgrade to more updated hotel in Marshall. Slightly disappointed. There are much nicer La Quinta hotels elsewhere.

We spent three nights and our daughters family stayed two for a family get together. Kudos to Debra and the rest of the staff. Everyone was nice and welcoming to us. Kids enjoyed the pool, we all enjoyed the comfort of the room overall. Will definately do this trip again.
