Best Western Plus Crown Colony Inn & Suites

This is our second time to use the Best Western when we visit family in Lufkin. My family and I have been very pleased with the staff and the conditions of the rooms. We will definitely continue to use this hotel for future visits when we go down to Lufkin.

My family stayed there regularly from 2007-2019, but we hadn't been back since 2019. It was good to see that it was well maintained.

Overall, our stay was good. The rooms were clean, but there were baby roach bugs in the bathroom. The ceiling fan was a very nice amenity, however, there are NO USB PORTS to charge your phones and NO HAIRDRYER. Breakfast was decent.

There was mold in the bathroom and on the walls in our room. Was noisy with kid noise, not something the hotel could help. Staff were friendly and welcoming. When we got to breakfast there was nothing left but when we asked, they were quick to replenish.

Was in town visiting family with my dog. Great place to stay. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Loved the interior and my kids loved that they had cookies and water set out in the lobby. The room was spacious and the beds were just right. Walls are a little thin, and in the reservation we mentioned more than 2 staying in the room so I wish there were enough towels and washcloths to accommodate the amount of guests in the room without having to go get more from the front desk but really that’s no biggie. The breakfast was excellent and I LOVED the fact that out of the many many different hotels we’ve stayed at they offered gloves for when you to put on to touch the serving spoons. That in itself made me feel like they were very conscious about keeping things clean and safe. Loved our stay wish it had been warm to enjoy the pool and will definitely recommend there to others and hopefully stay again when we’re in the area.

Unfortunately, there was a private party, golf, that apparently reserves much of the rooms every year at this time... per the front desk clerk. The partying of all these men plus several bbq cooks were directly ouside my room's window.. rm 108. They partied until wee hours of the night/morning. When they dispersed inside they were rowdy and LOUD. $180 night stay to not get any sleep or rest is ridiculous. I couldn't move rooms because none were available. They even blocked off the entire back section of the parking lot so parking was extremely difficult to find. Im in a wheelchair and access was limited to say the least. This is the first time ive been back in Lufkin in 2 years.. if i wasn't so freaking exhausted from traveling and family event I would've left immediately. The front desk staff were apologetic and not to blame.. I believe patrons outside of that private party should've been warned and it should've been planned to have other guests comfortable and away from said party. I deserve a refund as it is 0430am and I am just able to rest without the chaotic noise outside my window and door.
