DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Dallas - Farmers Branch

Very nice place for stay with my dog child. We spend a weekend here and all enjoy it.

Arrived for our anniversary, room was hot and you could smell weed all the way through the elevator to the hallway in our room. When we got back from dinner we tried to turn the air on and this loud clanging noise started happening and smelled like smoke, we called them and they switched us rooms however the room they switched us to was closer to whoever was smoking weed and i woke up with a headache from the smell of it coming through the vents several times each night. I called down for towels twice but no one ever brought anymore, the towels we had were stained, the furniture had black marks on the sofa that rubbed off on my pants and the side table had a bloody bandaid and sticky substance right by the lamp. 2 lamps did not work. The breakfast we paid extra for we only got one day because everything was cold and we didnt get good service for the first morning, the waiter looked like a kid and didnt even help us when we were inquiring how to do the buffet or get juice. Two other people after us had to get loud and get a manager to help get service. The food was almost out and we got there 2 hours before the buffet ended. Definitely didnt live up to hilton/doubletree standards. Felt more like a 2.5 star hotel.

The hotel is in a business district so there are no restaurants near by without driving to the freeway. I guess there was a beauty pageant going on the weekend my husband & I stayed. There were little girls all dressed up in pretty dresses.Although they were cute, many of them kept us awake all night running up and down the hallway being loud.The room next to ours sounded like a room full of kids screaming and bumping around most of the night. The walls in these rooms are literally paper thin! The breakfast in the morning was just "okay". We will stick to Embassy Suites!!

Ok so we got to the hotel tired and all wet from a recent trip to six flags when the front desk clerk says that she has no reservations under my name. I assured her that i did i even showed her my confirmation from expedia. She looked and looked and then she realized that some other clerk had given my room to another person by the same last name. She was very nice trying to help me figure out what she could do to put me in a room.She finally got me a room but not what i had booked, i asked for double beds because its 4 of us and i only got a king bed with a sleeper sofa. That upset me a bit because i didn't want myself or my kids to have to choose who sleeps in the sofa but i was too tired to complain so i just went with it wich i would later regret. At 5 in morning i was woken up by a bang in the wall from the room next to us it would come and go i thought to myself please not let it be what i think it is. Boy was i right i loud moan of a women came after the last bang. I was so disgusted and angry because i wasnt able to sleep any more, im a very light sleeper so going back to sleep is not easy. Good thing my little girls are heavy sleepers because if they would have woken up i would have no idea on what to tell them about that, so that got me really angry. I now know to never accept a one bedroom. My experience was not a good one and i also never received our free cookies either but i did get free breakfast for the room mix up.
