Best Western Carthage Inn & Suites

We stay here often to visit family in the area. Our stay is always pleasant.

Have stayed here several times as it is the only decent hotel in Carthage. We visit family there. It’s adequate for our purposes, but nothing to write home about. Usually clean and comfortable bed.

Best hotel in the entire town! Young man greeted me, checked me in, he was great! Slept like a baby! A/C was on point, room clean, breakfast as good. I highly recommend this hotel.

I chose to stay here for 2 nights while visiting family in Carthage, TX. I stay in Best Western hotels all over the country and this one has been, by far, the worst. Before I get started, I have pictures to back up everything you are about to see. Upon checking in, front desk employee mentioned that we were lucky and that they were full. Great, right? Getting to the room, room 111 to be exact, we found floors and surfaces that seem to have not been cleaned in ages. Dest on every surface. Walking around the room, we found fingernails between the bed and night stand and behind the corner chair, and mold inside the closet. Moving to the bathroom, there was what I am HOPING was dried soap on the walls of the shower. The corners of all flooring had mold and mildew. We could tell that this room was never cleaned recently. Best part about this was we were told that we got the last room and had no choice but to deal with it. When checking out, I told the staff about the issues and was told "Oh my God. Would you sign this and would you like a receipt?" Not a care in the world shown by staff. We are so glad that we paid full price for this room... Do yourself a favor and stay ANYWHERE else. Once again, I HAVE PICTURES OF EVERYTHING and will be contacting corporate as well.
