Embassy Suites Nashville South/Cool Springs

I have mixed feelings about the Embassy Suites. What I liked: we were able to check in an hour early (4pm check-in is absurd) and the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was good...what you expect from an Embassy Suites hotel. The not so good: we REALLY needed wifi and it wasn't working at all. When my husband went down to the front desk for help, they didn't apologize or offer any help at all which left us in a bind. We had a young child with us who wanted a bath but the bath wouldn't hold any water (kept draining). And they raved about the free happy hour but it was a pitiful display of cheese and crackers and goldfish. And I was annoyed that they charge $10 for parking. The hotel isn't in a city, it's the burbs...there is absolutely no need to charge for your car to be with you. This hotel also could use a cosmetic update -- it feels very 1990's. Overall not a bad stay but wouldn't be my first choice in the area.

I expect a lot from Embassy and have had some great stays! - but this time, they did not deliver. I believe the air conditioner was broken (it only cooled down 2 degrees over night). The wallpaper was peeling in the bedroom and bathroom. The toilet was really low - like a child-sized toilet at a daycare facility. The bathtub had something in the bottom of it (looked like mold - but when I tried to rub it out, it just stayed) - we refrained from bathing since we would be home the next day.

It was very warm in the hotel, our room, and the other room that our family was staying in. I asked at the front desk if there was a problem with the AC. (At the front desk there were multiple fans going to keep the staff cool.) I was told that there was not a problem with the AC but the hotel had a new energy efficient AC that was motion centered. So the front desk person said the more that you move around the room the more the AC will work. The AC in our room never got below 74 degrees. We ended up buying fans to help keep the room cooler. It was still warm in our room the entire trip. It was also warm in the common spaces of the hotel.

I liked the bed...very comfy but the sofa bed was horrible. My granddaughter slept on couch because you could feel the mattress inner springs. I've slept on sofa beds but none of the mattresses had inner springs!! The room was also warm...never went below 72. Needed room service Sat. evening but they weren't operating. My granddaughter got sick and I couldn't leave her alone to get food. Had put some fruit in frig which leaked and base was broken. Also it was VERY noisy...lots of kids but not supervised... running in hallways screaming. Kids in adjacent room were bouncing ball off my wall and were also very loud. We checked out a day early and were charged $75 but will attempt to get reimreimbursed. All in all not a great visit.

It was great and our family enjoyed the overnight stay.

Did not get the room I reserved. Reserved double beds and got a king. Had to sleep on uncomfortable sofa bed with 2 grandchildren.

The room was very clean, breakfast was generous, and the pool was great for the kids. My older boys were happy with the gym facilities as well. We needed a few extra bath towels and were able to get them very quickly. We would definitely stay again!

My husband and I took our children here for 1 night for a quick trip during during break. The main reason for picking this hotel is because it has an indoor pool. Check in was easy and the room was spacious, clean, and smelled good until we went in the bathroom. The toilet had not been properly cleaned and had stains. The tub also had big globs of hair in it. The pool was also closed due to maintenance which irked me because that was the main reason for picking the hotel. It eventually opened later on that night, so that made us very happy. The hotel has a lot of restaurants in the area and the space in the room was really good, tv in the bedroom and tv in the sitting area. Overall we wnjoyed our stay and would come back.

My family stayed 6 days and 5 nights and had our room.cleaned only once after requesting for a clean daily. We were given large garbage bags to empty our trash to leave in front of our door and to leave the dirty towels in front of the door; although the room was scheduled to be cleaned. Overall it was the cleanliness that was the disappointment.
