Nice hotel. Bed was a little squishy for my taste, but still comfortable. A/C was working good.Room was clean. We were here during Penn State Blue and Gold day, so breakfast was the only hink. Families all trting to get food at the same time. Not Hotels fault, but suggestions to improve during College event days.(especially when families with young kids are here as well.) Maybe a few chafing dishes with premade waffles or pancakes. An additional place for adults who just need to get coffee to go.

The staff was very responsive and friendly; the building needs updating. We had to ask for a room change immediately upon arrival as we found the one bed had dirty sheets. (We always check first.) The beds are not very comfortable, and the pillows are very thick. While others in my family slept ok, I couldn't sleep for most of either night of our stay. The noises from the AC were dismissed by staff as "known" and in need of updating. As they've been changing over from the previous owners, I guess that's part of staying open while they transition? Parking was limited in front of the building. The back area had limited lighting. People also parked where it doesn't seem they should for fire lane reasons. Someone kept using a stick to prop open the "key access only" back door -- consistent across the 2 days we were there, so I don't think it was hotel guests doing so. I wouldn't choose this property again unless there was nothing reasonable available elsewhere. State College can be rough on finding a room, so take the room if you sleep deeply.

We needed a place to stay during our child's student orientation at PSU. This was very conveniently located to the university. It was an unusual situation though...the hotel JUST transitioned from being a Quality Inn to a Days Inn, so there were many things that had not been resolved (none of the vending machines were working, most likely because of the changeover of contracts). They didn't have 24/7 coffee available because I also am guessing that there were changeover issues with suppliers etc... So, it was an odd time to be there. The hotel was clean. Our room and bathroom was nicely clean. Beds were not my favorite, but comfortable enough. The breakfast was nothing to write home about, but it was adequate. I think that once the hotel gets all of the transitional issues resolved, it would be a perfectly fine place to stay.

I took the kids for a football weekend for their first time, the staff at the hotel were outstanding. Very helpful and informative. I would definitely stay at this location for future visits.

Arrived very late after midnight and reception was still waiting as we alerted them on late arrival. They were very accommodating and helpful. The hotel to me were brightly lighted and welcoming. My first visit to State College, had a pleasant stay, good location, easily accessible, will definitely come back to stay and recommend to friends and family. The simple breakfast is good so keep them going. Overall pleasant and friendly staff.
