Holiday Inn Express & Suites Washington - Meadow Lands, an IHG Hotel

The breakfast was good. Room felt nice and cool the cookies after check in the kids loved. All in all wasn't a bad experience. Only negative was the pool.had some stuff floating in it. But i didnt use the pool hot tub was relaxing.

While making our reservations on Hotels.com we requested first floor rooms, adjoining if possible. This was due to my Mom being 88 years old and in a wheel chair. All 3 of us daughters help with her care when traveling. We also put on our reservation that we would be a late check-in around 8pm. When we arrived the manager on duty said she didn't have 2 rooms together on the 1st floor and we could be on the 2nd floor but not together. Then after another 5 minutes she did find 2 rooms on the 2nd floor - so we had to take an elevator with my Mom's wheelchair / scooter. This is a true safety hazzard if there were to be a fire and no power for the elevator we would absoultely be trapped on the 2nd floor not able to get my 88 year old Mom out of the building. Our room was fine but the TOILETS in these rooms are lower to the floor than any toilet we've ever seen. They seem like ones to use for toddlers in an elementary school. Seriously, we had to keep walking the full-length of the hallway from our room, back to the elevator, take the elevator downstairs and use the handicap public bathroom on the first floor. The manager on duty Friday morning said they have handicap rooms with a roll-in shower but still no handicap toilets available. Thats not very ADA compliant at all. We had the option of getting a handicap room on the first night but 2nd room would be other end of hall or another floor. Still no decent toilet for an 88 year old to get up off of.

Very nice and clean. The only issue was kids running around and screaming until 11 PM. Mgt had to address the problem multiple times. Me you would be once and your gone.

Nice property. Very clean, quiet and comfortable. Great location with dining options close by. Liked the pool and hot tub. Breakfast was good. I would ditch the fresh pancake machine. Doesn't work right and cannot nearly handle the volume needed on a typically busy Sunday morning with families with kids. Saw many frustrated kids and parents and anyone who thought they were getting fresh pancakes with breakfast. All in all a good stay. Get a waffle machine. Just saying.........

Front desk staff was pleasant and housekeeping was also very friendly. Breakfast was a mess, the food ran out and it took quite a while to refill and we waited for more coffee to be brought out for over a half hour. We were placed on the second floor and I am not sure who was above us but they partied all night and kept my kids up all night.

We had a nice stay. The kids enjoyed the pool very much! Our room felt clean. There was some webs at the ceiling but overall it wasn’t bad. The pool area rarely had towels and the hot tub wasn’t real hot, jets was lacking but, again it was still a nice stay. Just letting you know in case you are unaware.

Property was clean and functional. The kids loved it.
