Best Western Plus The Inn & Suites At Muskogee

Booked bc of pool. Arrived pool shut down. Disappointed kids.

The front desk employee at check in was the absolute sweetest and very helpful. The mid century decor is so well put together. Our only complaint was the pull out couch. The mattress was nothing but springs and unacceptable for a child to have to sleep on. We purposely booked a room with a pull out couch since we have two kiddos with us.

We reserved this last minute due to a change in our son's baseball schedule, and it looked like a nice place, but I was wrong. When we went to check in, we stood at the front desk for a few minutes waiting. No one was up front. We then got to the room and had no towels (actually, we had one washcloth), but no other towels whatsoever. I will add that checkout was at 12, and it was 9 pm, plenty of time to refresh. We then went to the pool and once again had zero towels in the pool area. Also, all chairs at the pool had mold (did have a nice pool). Came back to the room and boom...... zero towels, called the front desk, and the lady was very rude and said they have 2 dryers in the whole hotel, and they are full of towels, but our room was number 7 on the list to get towels. My wife and I drove to Walmart and bought towels so our children could take a shower. While we were gone, our daughter sent us a picture of a possible clump of mud and will attach a picture. My other daughter started looking at the beds and found what appeared to be urine stains on the bed, we had a pull out couch and no linens also couch had a huge yellowish stain on side of couch, the shower curtain rod was hanging down and overall it was a horrible stay. The bad part is we drove and played baseball all day and wanted to relax, and instead, we were treated like complete trash, and they acted like it was normal for a hotel to not have towels. I asked about a refund and was told, "Good luck". I rarely give 1 star

Needed a place for overnight for a family emergency. This place is always my first choice. It might not be the lowest price but comfort for value factors in

When trying to check in, there was only one person and she became overwhelmed. She was running out of key cards and i felt very bad for her. So check in was a slow process. The sign on the wall said there was a manager on site but no one showed up to help her. My room was fine for one night but my grandkids room was in bad shape looking like the bathroom door had been kicked in. It was okay for one night only.

Was given a room that we did not book. Was offered a second room to rent. We ended up having to have one of the kids to skew on the floor. Most they did was give us an extra blanket for a pallet.

Front desk staff was lovely & helpful but cleanliness & comfort was subpar. Old food from previous guests was still in the fridge when we arrived. Not a huge deal, we put it in the trash. But starting the second night we asked for our trash to be taken out (the old food plus we had a kiddo in pull ups) & for towels to be replaced & that never happened. We asked the cleaning staff who were working on a room a couple doors down. Came back that night & nothing done. We asked the front staff & they assured us it would be taken care of. Nothing. We even saw that our room was penciled into the cleaning schedule left on the housekeeping cart for a full service clean of our room. Came back that night & still nothing. We went down to the front & asked again & the guy at the front desk came up & collected the trash & towels himself at that point. I’m all for not doing daily cleans but the fact that housekeeping didn’t come once during our 5 night stay despite multiple requests where we didn’t even want/need full service (literally just trash & towels) was a bit much. Though it doesn’t seem like they do a great job even when they do “clean” since in addition to the un-emptied fridge there was dust everywhere, splatters on the wall, & when we took out the trash there was garbage juice in the bottom of the trash can. Pillows were also horrible, the filling separated into clumps & the bed was very springy. Unfortunate experience with the exception of the gentleman working the front desk

The room I had booked wasn’t available and the receptionist ended up having to give us two rooms for the price of one to accommodate my family of five. Both rooms didn’t have shower curtains. The room my husband and son stayed in didn’t have any towels and the chair in the room smelled and looked like it had recently been vomited on. The room I stayed in had no bathroom door knob, rust all along the door frame and calking all on the floors and missing baseboards and ripped up carpet. They rooms just seemed to be in rough condition.

The room reserved was not clean, meaning housekeeping never touched it — the beds were unmade, lights still on, a Gatorade bottle on the floor and other trash present. We got in at midnight, to sleep before continuing our trip in the morning. I reserved a room for six (two queens and a sofa bed) but no rooms if that type were available (both were dirty). We had to settle for a room with two beds while two of my kids slept on the floor. The employee was very sweet and apologetic, even going up to check rooms before switching us to them. I simply don’t understand why the rooms would not have been ready. I suspect that to be a management issue.

I just returned from staying here. I booked my trip via hotels.com and chose Best Western Plus because of the rating and comments that hotels.com had for it - Rating: Wonderful 9 out of 10. It was really just below average. I check in and the lady tells me that their breakfast is the best in all Muskogee. I'm even more excited about staying here. I get inside my room and my tennis shoes are sticking to the entrance floor and the bathroom floor. I look in the bathroom and the used soap bar from the previous customer is still in the shower. In the sink at first I thought it was a very long black hair but it was a black hairline crack across the entire sink. The counter for the sink was separating from the wall with a sloppy calk repair. The room is cold so I turn on the heater from the thermostat on the wall but that didn't work so I turn the heater on from the window unit. There is almost no sound proofing - anytime a door closed, or people talking down the hall or people walking above. The breakfast was horrible! The sausage circle had an odd flavor but almost flavorless, the scrambled eggs had no flavor, the mystery potato rectangle tasted like a sponge. There were a few more things but I just want to warn people - this is not a 9/10 WONDERFUL ranked hotel/room and the breakfast is definitely not the best in Muskogee but really the worst. I can only guess that family members of the hotel left those glowing reviews so it would have a 9/10 ranking. Dishonesty.
