I would have given an overall 5 star rating, because over all the start was wonderful. I would recommended this hotel to my friends and family. However, I was disappointed that the pool is listed and it was not open for use for my whole stay and that is one of the main reasons I chose this hotel. I feel then need to remove the indoor pool from their hotel if it is not open for use/working order.

Sheets had skidmarks.

The staff at this Americinn by Wyndham is the nicest group of people. The ladies at the desk did their very best to make everything good. There were a few things out of their control, the guest laundry was our of service and the TV in one of our rooms was stuck in store display mode so the remote didn't work, and the office chair in our room is in serious need of replacement. The kiddos loved the pool especially in this steamy hot summer. Thank goodness for the room AC, it was so nice. Several restaurants are within walking distance, but don't pass up the hotel breakfast it is DELICIOUS! The back door of the hotel is still broken from our last year visit to this hotel, while it made bringing our bags to our room convenient, it also left us questioning security. We had a good time visiting our family in McAlester and we appreciate Americinn's hospitality while we were in town.

The room says it sleeps 5 people. Its two small beds and no cots are available. Imagine our suprise when 5 of us showed up and my teenage kids were 3 to a bed. The bathroom is like a closet and the shower head looks like it was ripped off a time or two. The staff is cool but they closed an indoor pool due to rain.......We probably wouldnt have swam but thats the line of reasoning. We are very likely to have this be the first and last time staying at an AmericInn.

Pool is broken. Has been for 6months and Travelocity hasn't updated. 3 broken-hearted kids and an angry dad.....

We rented 2 rooms. Thankfully I wasn't sleeping yet when the bed bugs started biting. We had to wake the kids up to move 7 people and all of our things to new rooms. It was not a restful night at all. If we weren't already exhausted from the drive there, we would have just got back on the road. The hotel staff didn't seem surprised by the bugs, nor did they offer any compensation. We paid for both rooms and had a 9 hour drive the next day. It's been a few days and the bug bites still swell and itch.

We booked this hotel with the pool in mind foe the kids. When arriving the hot tub and pool are out of service. We were not informed that when making this booking.

Great place to stay when we come to visit the grand kids....love that they have fresh baked cookies and adult pool times...

Went to Mcalester for a graduation , when I arrived at the hotel it smelled , the room had a bad smell as well , the pool was closed , if I could of gotten a refund I would of went to another hotel , so we were stuck and other family members were staying there as well very disappointed..

Visiting with our love a lot kids. Stayed here rather than driving 2.75 hours to our home and back again.
