Hampton Inn & Suites Mansfield-South @ I-71

We always stayed at Hamptons when our kids were little but hadn't booked a stay in years. We booked at a Hampton about an hour from this one at Mansfield and we were seriously disappointed. Thought we would try it one more time on our way back through and we were so glad we did. This Hampton Inn was excellent! The room was clean and comfortable, the staff were very friendly and accommodating, and the hotel itself was well appointed and well taken care of! To top it all off the breakfast was excellent and the dining area was spacious and clean! Great choice and excellent value. This will be our "go to" stay over when traveling through central Ohio!

Our room was nice we didn’t have many problems. Only problem we had was the pool area, when I first ask her she told me it closes at 9pm but in the papers it says 10, then we get down there around 9 there’s like 6-8 kids in there screaming yelling, I decided not even to get in because of it and the pool was my biggest reason for booking. I don’t see why they don’t let the adults have that area for at least an hour. Some like to swim when it’s not super loud

The staff was friendly and helpful. The hot breakfast was great with a good variety of hot foods, fruits and pastries. The lady staffing the breakfast was very upbeat and friendly and helpful. My grandchildren loved the pool and weight room. There was plenty of well lighted parking. The rooms were a little dated, but very clean, quiet and comfortable beds. Everything I expected in this price range room.

We typically always stay at Hamptons for several reasons. This one had a great staff in every area!! Front desk, breakfast folks, as well as housekeeping! Housekeeping folks were absolutely amazing! Typically you don’t get to interact with them much, but this time we did. Due to some confusion our room being ready when it wasn’t, with 5 grandkids and carts of luggage it was a little irritating and stressful. We mentioned it to the housekeeping crew and the young lady SPRUNG into action immediately!! Her fellow coworkers jumped in and helped her get started and they had it done in great time! I was thoroughly impressed with their kindness, and readiness to help us. Their apologies weren’t necessary as mistakes happen, but their actions made up for it instantly. GREAT JOB!! I hope they get recognized by their upper people. Cleanliness, good breakfast with great variety as well as some of the most comfortable bedding, Hampton doesn’t disappoint.

Had left at 5 am due to my kids waking up covered in bed bug bites. Stayed in room 224.

We stayed here before heading to the Mid Ohio Race Track the following morning, which is just a pretty, 10-15 minute drive away through the neighborhood behind the hotel. The hotel was very clean, nicely decorated and seemed relatively quiet for as booked as it was which says something about the soundproofing. Free breakfast was well stocked in the morning. TV had many channels and there was no problem with using their wi-fi. If you are staying with a family, the suite is very large and not that much more than a regular room. I suggest booking it because you will not be on top of each other and won't have to sit on your bed all day/night. There was a couch, a chase lounge and 2 chairs at the large desk and enough room between the coffee table and beds for 2 people to do aerobics - no joke - huge room! We loved it.

We arrived in Mansfield around noon ( 3 hrs before check in ) and were able to check in early thanks to a very helpful staff. We also needed a rollaway bed for our son and they had it delivered to our room before we even got upstairs. The hotel is located across from the Ohio State Police office so we felt very safe. There were several fast food options within a 2 min drive as well as Cracker Barrel and Walmart. We had a suite with 2 queens and a sofa bed and still had tons of room for our kids to play. Breakfast was fantastic with lots of healthy & indulgent options. The pool area was very clean as well. The staff from the maids to the manager were all very friendly and helpful. They came around during breakfast and brought stickers, puzzles, and postcards to color to our table for the kids. It had a well stocked mini store on site for snacks or drinks. The rooms also had a fridge and microwave. Overall a great stay and great price.

Great stay overall. Good room and breakfast. We were disappointed the hotel couldn’t give us a cot for our 4-year old. They offered a pack-n-play but that was too small, and the kiddo isn’t old enough to be in a queen bed that high off the floor so they had to sleep on the floor. They didn’t even have a mattress we could put on the floor for them.
