Travelodge by Wyndham Gallipolis

Check in was fast and easy. Room was simple and clean. Beds were comfortable. Just a no frill overnight stay on the way to our destination. No elevator, which made carrying some things a little difficult with a baby. Staff was nice and breakfast was decent as well.

Greeted by wonderful staff (Carman I believe). Very friendly and helpful. Once I got to the room, terrible. AC hardly kept room cool even when turned to 60. Dead bugs in bathtub with others on wall. Washcloths were a dirty yellow tint and not fully white. I had to connect tv and satellite up to get tv connection in room. Holes in ceiling and bathroom. Could see through door crack into hallway when door was fully closed. I’d never stay here with my kids again. Next morning, staff lady was very friendly and nice (can’t remember her name). I saw good reviews on app and this didn’t live up anywhere close to them. Wife was super upset.

I checked into the hotel around 10pm and the lady at the front called as soon as we got into the room and was rude saying no visitors was aloud and I tried to inform her that we was just resting for a moment and several of us would be leaving headed back to the hospital to be with my that was unresponsive and she was not nice and said we needed to book anymore room because we had to many people in one room meanwhile her boyfriend and her toddler was roaming the halls and being very loud but yet we couldn’t have 6 people in one room for just a little bit to get us out of the hospital and time to calm down and get our stuff together to go back to be with my mother. Very rude lady and will not be back to that hotel at any point.

We were in town for a family wedding. I had reserved 3 rooms in advance and asked for an earlier check-in time. Staff was very friendly and check-in and out were easy. Rooms were clean. We basically just slept there - booked one night - as we spent most of our visit with family. I would book again, if the occasion arose.

The owners live in a couple of rooms and have kids that are out in the halls making noise. The hall had full trash bags setting in them. The ice machine was dirty. The "breakfast" was kids cereal, a waffle, fruit or toaster stuff. The coffee was the instant kind out of a machine. The hotel rents Uhaul trailers also and stored equipment in the dining area and the parking lot was used for Uhaul trailers. When I checked in, no one from the hotel was around so myself and another couple waited for someone to come and check us in. This was 3pm. For not much more money I could of stayed at a Best Western and had a clean, quiet stay and a hot breakfast.

We are on the last two nights of our vacation and visiting family in Pt Pleasant. There's not a lot of options here. We've stayed here before and it was ok. Mediocre at best. This time is way worse. We're on the 2nd floor and it's like a sauna in the hallway. Go into our room and it's at least 85-90. Kick on the ac unit and it's been running for 4 hours and barely cooled down. Probably 75-80 in here now. Receptionist was friendly and came in to inspect. Took out the filters and they were disgusting. She cleaned them thinking it would help. A hour later and still not any cooler. Stains on bed sheets. Bed is uncomfortable. Kids are complaining they are itchy and my skin is crawling. Not to mention the bathroom is hot and humid. I don't think I can stand being here 2 nights.
