We stay here regularly with family nearby. Location is great for enjoying Black Mountain. Front porch, lobby, backyard areas very welcoming and nice. Rooms need updating! Outdated plumbing produces no water pressure and irregular temperature. Toilet seat was very loose, which I would have reported, except that the front desk was busy.

A very different hotel than chain style. Rooms very minimally equipped with no mini fridge and some with no tv. A quiet getaway style to break from the hustle of the everyday lifestyle. Not a good choice for families but good for older couples. Also : no elevators since this is a older historic building.

We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is well located and well maintained. The restaurant was really great. The whole place is a very pleasant atmosphere. It is modern, but also welcoming and not corporate. The bed could have been a bit more comfortable, but I am used to a memory foam mattress. We would definitely stay again. It would be great place for a small wedding or family gathering.
