My family and I very much enjoyed our visit to New York and our stay at Moxy Chelsea was a key reason for this. The hotel was modern and sparky, and conveniently located for all the main sights, restaurants and leisure activities whether by metro or on foot. Our room was about midway up, affording good views towards the Financial District. It was small but still fairly comfortable, though there was no room for amenities like a kettle or fridge or wardrobe. Elevator service was slow in the mornings and evenings, and the cafe and reception were almost always busy and crowded. But the staff we spoke to were pleasant and helpful in answering our questions.

Staff was so great with my kids, and even got us a mini fridge in our room. Can’t wait to go back.

Amazing views to the city . Comfortable beds. Basic storage in the room , but we managed ok as a family of 4 for eight nights. Location is also very convenient for the whole of Manhattan.

Had my room cancelled by email 2 days before departing. Was given alternatives (2 x double room in Chelsea or same bunk room butbin times square). Replied double no good due to kids ages so Times sq best option. No reply within 24 hours so replied again ahead of leaving Australia. Nothing by time got to Hong Kong. Tried calling (middle of night US time and got generic Marriot booking but said need to contact Hotel. Called booking agent to sort, they gave me same options so said Times Sq fine. Replied to them feom email from Moxy this OK. By the time i land in NY (evening) have 2 emails from Hotel.asking what options i want. Ended uo speaking to someone and got original room in Chelsea.... Hotel itself was OK. The bar/brealfast areas run by seprate business and always busy. Rooftop.bar seems to be fully seperste to Hotel. Wasnt happy with $30 per night non refundable amenities fee which is on top of room charge and must be used each day at hotel or its gone. Normally breakfast are full and cannot take kids to the bar in evening so only ised twice. Its a bit of a con to be honest and surprised Marroit alow such practices. Room.eas decemt enough but cleaner only in once during the 4 day stay (one day we didnt want service catching uonwith jet lag). Overall Hotel OK, good area and rooms nice but could be better with some staff organisation and policy changes....

Stayed for 5 nights, 6 days on a vaca from LA with my husband and we’re in our early 30s, for reference. Great hotel and great location especially for a first timer in the city. Clean, service is good, great food and drinks at cafe, lounge and club. Only con is the small rooms but that’s NY! Would not bring children here personally due to the lack of room. Bed was super comfortable. Views excellent. Overall happy with our experience.

We were initially put in a room where the aircon wasn't working (staff told me there was known issues with this room - if that's the case I don't think we should have been put in it in the first place). We got a change on the second night to one with functioning aircon but it had 2 beds instead of 4 and sharing beds with the kids wasn't fun. We got a change again after the second night and this room was good, comfortable and as advertised. I was, however, disappointed with the approach of the staff to our situation. On the first change they were quite happy for us to take our time - we had a lot of luggage and it took me 3 trips to change room whilst my wife looked after the kids. On the second change they insisted that we hand back the keys to the room before we would get the keys to the next room. Despite my protest I was met with a blank stare and an offer to send security to my room - so we all packed up with the kids, checked out and checked back in again. Quite an inconvenience. I needed to work at the hotel and wouldn't recommend it. There are no quiet spaces. I was starting work at 5am and the music in the public spaces was so loud that I had to cancel my calls until my family had left our room. The $30 a night charge to use as on site credit is a dirty trick. We're in NYC and want to explore not be tied to over expensive breakfast or drinks at the hotel. That is the main reason I won't return to this hotel for leisure.

Great hotel with a fantastic location. Breakfast arrangements maybe not the best for families. Otherwise a great stay!
