Mill Falls at the Lake

We didn’t have the best experience. Traveling with my elderly mother and 2 children. We attempted to check in but no staff at desk so you must drive or walk. 1/4 mile to sister hotel church landing to check in. Room was not ready which was fine bc I was hour and half early. We used pool and swam in lake which was lovely. We went back to mills falls and room smelled strongly of cigarettes. We called to change room at 4 and did not get a new room until after 6. My elderly mother was exhausted. I am sympathetic to busy summer season and staff shortages. We were given $50 off our overall charge. Fantastic area so I know you are paying for location.

My stay was just what was needed - had a wonderful Thanksgiving with family but didn’t want to drive 2.5 hours home after so had booked a room. Quiet, clean and comfortable! Great room and wonderful lake views!

Overall good experience. Room was clean and had a great balcony view of the lake. Having a fireplace in the room was a nice feature to have with the winter weather. Would have been nice if fireplace settings could be adjusted. We did notice that the shower would leak with use. But otherwise no serious issues during our stay and staff were nice. I would just recommend that if childfree couples are planning to stay that they be conscientious of school vacations. This seemed to be a popular place for families with kids to book. And parents seemed to let their kids run free during the time we were staying. Such as kids running around the lounge area near the lobby and running up and down hallways knocking on doors and slamming doors to their rooms.
