Sacajawea Hotel

I was traveling with my husband and parents (who are in there 60s). I have stayed at this hotel before and I love it, but the rest of my family wasn't as enamored. I love when you check in they give you a glass of champagne and delightful wet lavender towel to freshen up. This is an old hotel so there is no elevator, you have to take your luggage up the stairs yourself. Being an old building it does have it oddities and creakiness. They do offer in the room: ear plugs (you'll see why below), lavender pillow spray, and I missed mine but my mother said there was a nice chapstick. We had dinner at the restaurant and I don't know why but it was SO hot and stuffy in there. The food was ok, but not comparable to the price. Our waitress was fabulous. We hung out and listened to music in the bar after dinner but my parents who wanted to go to bed early said they felt like they were "in the bar" because they could hear the music so loudly in their room until the band stopped playing (hence the earplugs). Coffee/breakfast was ok but not great, we left and went to Wheat Montana.

It was a one night stay in this room. Moving to larger room today. We are here for family wedding.

This was a gem on our trip from Yellowstone to Glacier National Park. The room was so comfortable with very nice linens. There are excellent restaurants on site and we couldn’t decide whether to eat at the main restaurant upstairs or the one downstairs but the restaurant bar upstairs serves the menu for both. This is a historic hotel and probably not best for families but excellent for couples and I would describe old fashioned upscale place to stay.
