Clayton Plaza Hotel & Extended Stay

I’ve stayed here several times a year while traveling back and forth to visit family. It is always a wonderful stay and everyone is so friendly. I love the parking option and all the restaurants near by.

We chose Clayton Plaza Hotel in St. Louis because it is close to Washington University where our son will attend. We were met with friendly, smiling faces upon check-in and every step of the way after that. The lobby is beautiful and open. Our room was clean and accomodating and smelled wonderful. We were grateful for the laundry room. $2 each for the washer and dryer is an acceptable fee. Just make sure you get quarters from the lobby as the machines don't take cards. We were able to enjoy the pool one evening and it was clean and warm. We chose the outdoor portion of the pool as there were 2 families inside. It even rained on us out there and with the table umbrellas our personal items were kept safe and dry. It was very relaxing! Parking in the garage was convenient and safe. Remember to have your ticket validated at the front desk for a discounted charge. We started everyday with the complimentary buffet breakfast. It was delicious! There were eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, bagels, english muffins, grits, oatmeal, hashbrowns, sausage gravy and biscuits, fruit, yogurt, cereal, beverages. If you went away hungry that was your own fault. There was also a waffle and omelet station. We went to the Missouri History Museum, Art Museum, Science Center, Ferris Wheel, Aquarium, Gateway Arch, and the St. Louis Zoo during our stay and did not have far to travel from our comfy accomodations. Evenings were spent walking from Clayton Plaza to our choice of restaurant. We will be back!

Our daughter and her two children stayed here and LOVED this hotel. Everyone was helpful and very friendly. Great property.

Free arcade for kids and indoor outdoor pool was awesome

This was a quick family trip, so we were looking somewhere safe and clean. The property exceeded our expectations, kids loved the pool and arcade room, and the breakfast was great. Would definitely stay again.

Best breakfast I’ve had at a hotel. The pool and free game room are a plus especially for families with kids. Staff was friendly, helpful and speedy. We plan to definitely be back after we retire

Only stayed one night. The service was amazing. The staff were great. The pool was ok but didn’t open until 10 am and it wasn’t clean. Why open late if no one is cleaning it? There is a fun arcade room for kids. The bathroom was clean except for a few areas that clearly had not been cleaned in a while. Beds were comfy and bedrooms were quiet. Construction ongoing so I guess they are trying to fix it/update it. Clearly this used to be a fancy hotel that’s gone downhill.

Took my grandkids on a trip to St Louis and we enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Best breakfast ever!! The staff was so friendly! Will definitely stay again if i ever make it there again!

My kids really enjoyed the indoor/outdoor pool and the free game room (it did get a little crowded in the game room at times, but not overwhelmingly and not for long).We all really enjoyed the buffet breakfast. The beds were comfortable. Great price for the hotel ( it felt fancy on a budget).If im in the St. Louis area again this will definitely be my go-to hotel.

Hotel experience was really good. Staff was welcoming, helpful, and kind. Room was comfortable for 2 adults and 2 young kids. Visited the pool and restaurant. Pool was nice though it could have used some cleaning. Restaurant (breakfast) was good. The hotel could use some updating in the hallways but other than that, it was a good experience!
