Homewood Suites by Hilton St Louis - Galleria

Property was great just what we needed for a layover to visit family and then head to our final destination

It was right next to the highway, so it was a little noisy, but not terrible. The room was spacious and clean, we enjoyed out time. The breakfast was great!! Our only downside was that there was a family that stayed at the same time and their kid kept pooping in the pool and hot tub so they had to shut it down to drain, clean and refill. It wasn't the child's fault. The parents knew it was possible and refused to place them in a swim diaper to be safe. Its understandable with their condition, just wish those precautions would've been taken. Otherwise, a great stay!

Good place to stay. Good breakfast. Clean. Two complaints: the freeway was right outside our room. Super loud. Hard for kids to sleep. The other problem was that the hot tub was not hot.

Pool was closed. Was the main reason we booked with three kids. 3rd floor smelled terrible.

Overall had a great stay! Unfortunately the pool was closed for cleaning which was a huge bummer. Only reason we picked to stay here was for the kids to swim.

Room was very clean, breakfast was great. The hotel was very busy lots of kids being very loud and un-supervised at the pool. Tried for hours to use the pool with no luck. I picked the hotel for my gfs birthday because it had a pool and good reviews. It was very frustrating that we were not able to swim. I feel there should be rules for kids definitely that many un-supervised. For the price of $219

The hotel was not kept up well or very clean. There was caution tape around an area right when you entered the front doors. Then our room had 3 forks on the counter (not sure if dirty or clean?), a pitcher w water in the fridge (fridge and freezer dirty inside), candy in nightstand drawers (discovered by my kids), shower wouldn’t drain, mattress pad with multiple rips, holes, and stains on pull out couch. Strangest thing was that check out was at noon, but a housekeeper came knocking on the door and *opened* our door at 8:30am without permission, while my family was still resting. I’ve never had this happen in a hotel before.

The breakfast was the worst I have ever had. The staff was friendly, but didn't know the right ratios or training for food. Wrong ratio for juice, eggs, pancakes to the point of inedibility. If the owner is spending money for Materials and labor they should make sure they are getting their monies worth. Also the disability setting for the toilet were sub par. We were in town for my mom’s 80th and she had issues with your toilet accessibility. We called 2 times and got a hand rail but it was not installed correctly. Also construction early in the morning was very disrupting. Rooms were not cleaned the 3 days we were there and our family that stayed for 5 days did not gala a their rooms cleaned either.

The staff was wonderful and friendly! The rooms were large and clean. However, our room wasn’t cleaned during our stay and towels were not restocked. We had to ask at the desk to get more. Location is right across from a shopping mall and CVS. Convenient if you need anything quickly. The pool and pool area are in desperate need of a good cleaning. The water in the pool resembled lemonade and had a film on top. There is a renovation occurring that isn’t listed on Expedia, however, there wasn’t any extra noise that I heard. The elevator would randomly open on the floors that are being renovated. Once, we couldn’t get the doors to close again and had to walk up a couple flights to get to our floor. Overall I would stay here again - just be mindful of the pool area if you have kids wanting to use it.
