Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Poplar Bluff

My family & I always stay here. Love it!!

Convenient when we visit family.

The hotel was very nice and clean. Quiet (minus my loud one year old). I did notice at breakfast that there were a lot of little kids and I wouldn’t have guessed it! Breakfast was mediocre but the staff was extremely attentive to keeping it filled and very friendly asking if anything was needed. They did have a make your own waffle station which was a hit! They had a lot of topping for oatmeal and tea and coffee and water all day long. The last day of our stay was Mother’s Day. The staff handed out beautiful carnations to the moms at breakfast. I wasn’t expecting that and being a first time mom it made me smile. Outside of breakfast we interacted with staff on a few occasions and they were always friendly and prompt. It seems like they enjoy their job and that’s always nice to see. The service industry is hard work. Props to the team! Fantastic stay!!

Everything was great except the pool. It's very small. Should have just skipped making a pool and created a great workout facility, or skipped the workout facility and made a bigger pool. If you're wanting to swim with your kids skip this place. If it didn't matter, it's a great hotel!

This is a new hotel and it is very clean and nice. We stayed recently while visiting family. This will definitely be our choice when in the area again. We have children and I'm big on clean floors and over all cleanliness and this hotel is on point. Also, the check in staff was exceptionally friendly and didn't seem to be upset that she was working on Christmas. We complimented her on having such a great attitude!

So, far it’s been great. Some parts have been update quiet well, while others need a bit of a spruce up. The rooms are roomy, and clean. There is SO much for families it’s truly a bright spot on our 23 day across country trip!

Front desk was unpleasant from get go. Young men upfront was rude, had horrible attitude even when another person showed up up front they couldn’t come to a consensus on anything in front of my kids and I. First impression was “incompetent” about this place.
