Holiday Inn Express & Suites Jackson / Pearl Intl Airport, an IHG Hotel

Was just an overnight stay to break up a long drive from Texas to Florida. We wanted to find a place with a pool for us and 2 kids to enjoy that evening. They have one, it was just green. Yuck! Also no towels, no shade (not even umbrellas) but did have a rusty bbq grill. (Huh?) Told the front desk woman that the pool was green and she said she would leave “another note for my manager”, as several guests had complained and management still had not acknowledged her previous notes. The room was reasonably clean, just very hard beds that lent to a lot of tossing and turning. The breakfast was impressive compared to most that only offer continental, just that the pancake maker apparently never made pancakes (another guest noted that he’d been there for two months and had never seen it work). All in all, it seems that although it’s decent, it’s definitely being neglected and I don’t think it was worth the price we paid.

This hotel was very clean and the suites were more than big enough for our family. We paid for two rooms to split between our family. Both rooms were very clean and had everything they needed in them. The only negative thing that I have to say is this........one of our rooms air conditioners was not working properly. We told the front desk Saturday morning about it not working. She told us she would have someone come and look at it. No one was ever sent to look. We were also promised some type of compensation because the hotel was full and they could not get us into another room. I would have much rather our air had been fixed than have to pack up and move rooms. Needless to say our stay was a bit warm versus our familys other room that would get into the 60's. On a much better note, the breakfast was fabulous! Always well stocked during breakfast hours and plenty of options to choose from. All in all our stay was nice. We will recommend and stay here again if the need ever arises.

We stayed for 4 days while visiting family. The hotel was amazing. Very nice staff, fancy rooms, extremely clean. The hot breakfast was very good and plenty of selection.
