Comfort Suites Southaven I-55

Staff was great! Location is very convenient and having a room with a sofabed, microwave, and fridge is very helpful for a family. Rooms could use a tiny bit of updating though. Also there is only sheets available for the sofabed. Mattress is very thin, so you would need a comforter for extra padding as well as warmth.

As i entered our room, i noticed the king bed with what appeared to be 4 throw pillows on top at the head. I later discovered they were undersized pillows bunched up in a 15"x15" square. Not very comfortable either. The bathroom had a broken tile behid the door. The anti- skid application on the tub was eroded off.

My family has always stayed here out of habit mostly. And when I’m traveling alone, I stay here because I’m most familiar with it and the area. The rooms are nice sized, but over the years, I’ve begun to see some wear and tear, especially in the bathrooms. This time, I’ve noticed the mattresses look more worn. Overall, it’s fine for a night or two, but the rooms could use some updating.

The location is great, it is fairly quiet, and the lady at check in was super sweet! The hotel does need some updating. The room was spacious enough for us and 3 kids. My only real complaint was the shower did not look really clean. I think it is just stained but I’m not 100% sure.

This hotel was SO dirty! First we were given keys to our room and we open up the door and they was a man laying in bed! We took the kids and rushed back to the desk...was given another room where we found wads of hair and toenails in the bed, cords pulled out of the wall and smelled of marijuana! We took our kids and let them know we would not be staying and they refused to refund our money! So we were out 2 hotel room charges that night for their nasty hotel!

Do not book this hotel. We were first given a room that was not cleaned. We were then given another room that had a broken bath/shower. At that point, they only apologized that it was broken but did nothing more. The pillows smelled. The floors were not vacuumed. We were a family and only given two sets of towels, and told that the hotel did not have enough for all the guests. We left after one night but the hotel will not issue a refund.

We had a great stay at this Comfort Suites. There was plenty of room for our family of five, the staff was very welcoming and took good care of us, breakfast was solid, and we had a restful night between two long days of driving.

First off. This was the worst vacation experience ever. From my check in with Tiffany Henderson to the non communication of my issues with management. I can not believe this hotel is still standing. We booked eight rooms and every room had an issue. I’m a neat freak however I can bend a bit. From not having heat in my 83 year old uncles room was the last straw. He just had open heart surgery 7 months ago and this had me livid the lack of response we have received. I called this morning and apparently the manager was too busy to take my call. At first I was willing to take a minimum refund, now I demand a full refund. I have never experienced a vacation with my family like this. It is also embarrassing since they always trust my selections in hotels since I am in this industry. Well I dropped the ball. I simply asked for $100 credit and apologies to my elderly grandmother and uncle. I received nothing. The ceiling in my room 401 was disgusting. All the furniture needs to be thrown out. In fact just close the entire hotel it is a disgrace just in an amazing location.
