Fairfield by Marriott Mt Pleasant

Things were very noisy the weekend we stayed, unsupervised kids running up and down the halls at midnight. Very noisy neighbors. The gym was too small and very limited equipment like benches, etc. Staff was helpful, as much as they could be.

Not a great experience at this hotel. 1) We reserved a room for 2 adults and 2 children. The room we reserved according to Travelocity was a suite with a King Bed and DOUBLE Sofa bed. The other family traveling with us was to get the room with the "regular" sofa bed, as they only have one child. We get to the room and both rooms have a single sofa bed, smaller than a twin mattress. My children are older and are too big to fit on a twin mattress together. So we asked a staff person if they had a room with a double sofa. He said that all rooms are the same and they don't even have a double sofabed. So he goes to the storage room next to ours and drags out an air mattress (not rolled up, not in a sack or case, just dragging it on the floor). So we inflate it, only for it to deflate in an hour. So needless to say, no one slept well. 2) There were brown stains on the comforters and sheets. 3) Not having enough towels and pillows for all the guests. 4) The breakfast. The first morning it was okay, but each day after that, it was progressively worse. It was almost as if they were running out of food. Nothing would be stocked. All the things they had the first day, they never had again. They had no bagels, no muffins, no cereal, no fruit, no yogurt, no eggs, no waffle mix. And it's not like we were going to breakfast at the last minute. We came down for breakfast each day an hour before it was supposed to be closed. Both of our families said we would never go to this hotel again.

Very nice room and staff was friendly. My only complaint was that outside traffic was noisy. Also I’ve never seen a toilet so low to the ground. Felt like it was for children at an elementary school.

During our stay children (a lot) were running up and down the halls. Others were stimping/jumping in neighboring rooms (I believe there was some kind of little league event). Breakfast was out of everything. It was just not my normal Marriot experience.
