Ameriway Inn and Suites

Ameriway Inn is ok, especially given the price of $125.00 plus tax. There is shopping and family type (including fast food) restaurants on M-53 (I don't know the city street name for this hotel). Nearby shopping includes both Meijer and Walmart. Parking is easy and very safe. (Bad Axe is very safe community). The hotel rooms are basic but clean. The hotel, however, is showing its age. The first floor hallway carpeting is stained in places. My room had drapes that wouldn't close properly. (I had to jury-right the drapes closed because an outdoor light beamed itself through the window right onto the bed). The room was stuffy but running the air conditioning helped with that. The continental breakfast beverages consist of coffee, orange juice, and tea. Food was commercially prepared and individual wrapped baked goods - similar to what one would find at a convenience store. (There is a toaster for bagels). It is important to note is that the front desk closes at 10 p.m. and reopens the next morning at 5:00 a.m. Do call ahead if you plan to arrive after 10.00 p.m.

This was our third year staying for our family reunion weekend, however it'll be our last. Light bulbs were out, hair dryers didn't work, refrigerator didn't work, just to name a few things. Very disappointed.

It’s a great place to stay. But when a family emergency comes up and you have to leave past check out don’t expect to get a refund for the day your not going to be there

The hotel allows people not staying at the hotel to pay $7 to use the pool. This made me not want to use the pool…I think it should be for guests only. A family of 5 was paying for pool entry with a baby without swim pants on. Also the outside garbage can was always overflowing.

Easy access and close to family. Nothing was disliked

The property was back from the main road, which helps with noise. The walls were so thin though, that I heard every word of a hour or so speaker call that the guy in the next room had with his kid. The room was basic, which I like (didn't need fancy), but unfortunately, the sink and tub and even the towels contained hairs that were not mine.

The walls are so thin, that you could hear every step of the family above us. It was so loud we had to change rooms. The next room had ants in the bathroom. Who thought it would be a good idea to have a full length mirror across from the toilet?? No-one wants to see themselves using the bathroom. As for the breakfast do yourself a favor and get something elsewhere. Their pool used by any person that wants to pay, so know you will be sharing with people not staying at the hotel.

Nice clean room if you want to crash for a night. Breakfast was cereal, bread, fruit, tea and coffee. They have a swimming pool and I saw kids enjoying it but I didn’t use it.

Well when we first arrived it seemed to be ok. But the lady who was suppose to be at the desk was chilling in the lobby with friends on the couch. But thats what ever But as my kids got into the jacuzzi a BIG clump of hair that wasnt ours was floating around. Grossed my kids out so much they got right out and into the shower. Well lets just say the shower had hair all over it too that wasnt ours. Then we went to go to bed and only had 3 pillows and mind you we checked in with 4 ppl. Went to ask for another one and couldnt find the lady anywhere. So i just used a sheet as a pillow. Then the next day we went to go down for the breakfast and what breakfast?? There was a waffle machine but there was no waffle mix out anywhere. And there was no other food out. It was crazy!! Lets just say my family and i are not coming back. And its sad cuz we use to live up here and that use to be a good clean hotel. I dont know what happen in the change but it has gone down.

We brought the grandkids, Ameriway had Halloween candy for their guest, pleasant surprise.
