The Richard

The staff is fantastic. They greeted us with a warm welcome and were very friendly. They made sure we had everything we needed for a great visit. The room was clean and well equipped but was a bit on the small size. We found the bed and pillows were softer than what we find at other hotels and thus a bit uncomfortable for us. Rooms at the front of the hotel are only 20 feet from the Main street where car and foot traffic is nearly constant in the evening, so it can be a bit noisy. We were celebrating our 40th anniversary and found a nice card from the hotel staff and bottle of champaign in our room when we arrived. We though it was a nice touch until we arrived home to learn our children had arrange for that. Unfortunately the hotel took credit for it and never mentioned who it was actually from. Not cool. The close proximity to shopping, dinning, and bike rentals is what really makes this hotel so desirable. It's also part of the residential area, which makes for a nice casual stroll through the neighborhood any time of day.
