I stayed at this hotel never having visited the Cape before. It was a nice hotel, nice staff, decent continental breakfast. The shower in my room would back up with water which forced me to take quick showers; also you can essentially you can hear whenever your neighbors shower and flush the bathroom but other than that the room was very clean and up to date. I would not recommend this hotel if you do not like walking as it is about a mile away from the center of the town. I am a New Yorker so I would just get on the bus that passed by and take that into town for a very small/reasonable fee, they even have a day pass for you to travel back in forth for a reasonable fee. The staff was helpful in assisting me with navigating how to get places, especially since I did not have a car and they do accommodate you to the best of their abilities. There may be nicer places to stay than the colony inn but it is one of the better hotels to stay in if you have a family or a car (as there is not much parking available in Provincetown).

I was on a solo trip for rest and relaxation without my kids. My room must have been situated near where when the laundry room was because for the entire stay my bed shook, making it impossible to get any rest. As you might imagine, laundry is done all day long at a hotel. Thankfully it stopped at 9pm, but if I wanted to rest in the middle of the day, nope. The room was TINY and quite outdated, but thankfully my stay was out of season so I didn't pay much for it. BUT, most of the accommodations in this area are going to be small and outdated due to the age of most buildings in a historical area. Although there really was plenty of room to update some of the bathroom and provide some counter space. There was no place to even put a toothbrush down near the sink. The employees were very friendly and accommodating. But the walls were thin... I must have also been above employee working areas. I heard quite a bit about a particular employee who was not going to survive in busy season if she couldn't manage during the off season! Good luck Rosie... Housekeeping is every 3 days? Not sure if that would change during in season? Due to it being much colder than I expected, I wasn't able to get out and walk around from the hotel, but I do think in nicer weather I would have appreciated the location much more. Overall, 4/5 because I don't think I could have found much better for the rate I paid but there is definitely room for improvement.

We enjoyed our stay. The two room family suite was perfect for four adults. Comfortable beds, clean room, great overall experience. The pool was fun, sitting at fire in the evening, and wonderful access to downtown. About a 15-20 minute walk but doable and great to walk after eating in downtown. Close to beach, shopping, and ALL sightseeing....great price without having to navigate pedestrian overload in downtown. Recommend and we hope to stay again in future.
