We have been staying at this hotel for years now when we visit friends and family. Even when they used to have an outdoor pool which is now permanently closed. It has a solid (standard hotel) breakfast and the staff is always super friendly. With that said, the hotel does show its age these days. But for the price , we find its still worth it. I do hope management reads this comment though. They are just on the edge of being worth it anymore. I hope they invest some money into fixing up the rooms and plumbing a bit. If they dont, they are going to start loaing customers. And certainly if they dont AND they rIse prices, it will no longer be our hotel of choice

The front desk provides excellent service. They even went the extra mile to put us in our favorite room without our asking. It made us feel special to be remembered. The room was very clean and smelled fresh. There was no heavy air freshener or chemical smell like they were trying to cover up an order. Excellent breakfast. We especially enjoyed the sausage, eggs and coffee. This is our official place to stay when we visit family in Gathersburg. Almost forgot to include that the bed was really comfortable.

The staff was really friendly. Location was very convenient for me to visit family. The parking lot felt safe. Breakfast was good. The hotel could use some updates. The carpet was a little outdated. Bathroom door in the room had water damage. The gap around my room door was so huge that I could see the hallway. I could also hear other guests slamming their doors. In general, the place was clean however, the chair and my room was full of dirt and someone else’s nail clippings.

We checked in late Friday evening meaning to leave the next Friday but stayed and extra night. From start to end, we felt welcomed and valued. We were treated very well by every staff member we encountered, from a call placed 2 hours before check in (Lilly T), to Mohammed (check in), to Maria (housekeeping). Had nice conversations with night security. Wonderful service at hot breakfast each morning. Our needs always met whether it be extra soap, shampoo or towels. Nice fitness room. Small well stocked gift shop. Plenty of well lit parking. Quiet and safe area. Will definitely stay again when visiting family! Great time in D.C. Shady Grove Metro a short drive away, reasonable parking rate M-F, free on weekends.

Saw a baby roach in bathroom immediately upon arrival. Decided to stay in room after speaking with main desk. Never saw another one but it was disconcerting and made me wonder where the roaches “brothers d sisters” were hiding.

I only stayed one night and I was extremely pleased. The room was clean, comfortable, and equipped with a microwave and fridge. My only complaint was the sound proofing was not good as there was a family with a baby nearby that cried on and off the entire night, which kept waking me up throughout the night. My other concern was I requested late checkout so I could rest longer and house keeping knocked on my door 3 times, with the do not disturb tag on the door to access the room, which lets me know that they either were not notified of my late check out or over looked something, which irritated me a bit. Otherwise, the stay was just fine.

Our family was staying in the area for a Thanksgiving get-together. The first evening was interrupted by a fire alarm (thankfully a false alarm) and some fight outside that required the police to be summoned. The rest of our stay was much more peaceful. The rooms are billed as sound-proofed but we could hear people talking in the next room so don't believe it. The breakfast is filling but not exactly gourmet. If you are on a special diet you might have to bring your own food. The staff was quite friendly and attentive and the location is very well situated, very close to lots of things.

I stayed at this hotel a few times before to visit family in the area. LOVE IT! There is a terrific Indian restaurant across the street. I always gene the hotel five stars. This the room had a terrible stale smell, there were roaches in room and bathroom and dresser had a broken hanging handle. We only stayed 2 nights so I didn’t care about the handle because we didn’t use the dresser.
