Hampton Inn Elkton

The staff at this hotel are horrible. Someone came into our room WITHOUT KNOCKING saying “housekeeping”. We had the “still sleeping” sign on the door but he just unlocked the door and came in. We yelled “No!” And he left. No apology no nothing, just left. We called the front desk to complain and they did nothing. Alexis at the front desk called back and said our room was on the “checked out” list and keys were turned in. We asked to speak to the manager and were told she had a family emergency and couldn’t come to the property. When we were checking out, Alexis called the manager and told her we were checking out and wanted us to speak to her on her cell phone via speaker. We asked her to call our cell phone but she called the hotel phone instead. The manager was not helpful and just said she believed her staff and couldn’t do anything. Alexis then started yelling at us that we were racists. So, two older white people complained about something that happened and the black staff says WE are racists. I think THEY are racists. We just wanted an apology and acknowledgement that they made a mistake. Instead, we are now banned from the property for complaining.
