Here’s a revised version of your feedback: "The front desk lacks manners and struggles with customer service. The staff often intrudes into guests' personal matters and asks inappropriate questions. The rooms are in dire need of updating, and the phone in our room was not working. The older lady at the front desk was intrusive my kids with an horrible attitude. The overall atmosphere of the property is unwelcoming and not family-friendly. If you have kids and want to use the pool, this is not the place for you."

My husband and I had a wonderful one night stay at the Gorges Grant Hotel. The hotel was immaculate and the staff very hospitable. The bed comfortable and never heard any outside noises as we slept. The shower was great, water pressure and temp. We will definitely be back to stay, and next time even bring the kids.

Large room. Bathroom with an extra sink. Free parking. Not new but we’ll maintained facility. Breakfast available at restaurant for extra charge. Nice but pricey. A mix of families and couples staying there.

Stepping into the lobby is very welcoming and families seem to enjoy the game tables there. The room was spacious newly decorated and the hotel is spotless. My room had a sitting room and next time I will book for a longer vacation because felt like in a 1 bedroom apartment.

I liked almost everything about the property. It was pretty, clean, convenient, quiet (although I had “clompers” above me my last two nights, but that’s not the hotel's fault) and well priced. There were two things I didn’t like: 1) no name tags on any staff (I like to know who I’m talking to so I can thank them by name or at least have it if I want to comment to management - usually complimentary. They told me they don’t wear them because “family” doesn’t need name tags which is quite an odd reason - guests aren’t family and 2) it’s not a very environmentally friendly property. Unless you instruct them, they will replace your towels daily. I travel a lot and have become accustomed to placing any towels or cloths I’d like replaced on the floor, otherwise they don’t touch them. They also leave lights on. Those are both big “no nos” for me. I will not stay there again. ESG is a big factor in where I’ll spend my money. I instructed no housekeeping while I was there. (I still tipped housekeeping when I saw them in the hall. Not their fault I didn’t need them.)

Just a last minute added on quick overnight stay on family vacation in Northeast. For family of 5 the room was nice and spacious and staff was friendly - with securitiy guard checking us in after midnight. Wasn't around long enough to give a true/full review but really enjoyed the location and the quaint feeling of Gorges Grant. We'd definitely stay again if we go back to Maine.

Was in mid November. No kids. Very quiet. Although we could hear a little chatter above us in room it wasn't bothersome. Staff very helpful. I used hot tub a few times. Place was very clean. Rooms clean. Restaurants in area were recommended and were great. Staff gave us list of places to go and we found a few things that were still open to go to each day. I loved sitting in lounge area in the quiet each morning and using the gym. No-one was around. Nice and peaceful. Good coffee at 6a. Stayed during the week for 4 nights. Cable was ok HBO/SHOWTIME, other stuff. We're older adults so don't watch too much TV. Breakfast was excellent. Average prices. Hope to return in the busy season in summer. Probably be a bit different.

The hotel was extremely clean. The staff was very friendly. Our only complaint was our room had an adjoining door and the people in the room next door had children and were noisy. Other than that it was very nice!
