Holiday Inn Express Biddeford, an IHG Hotel

I was disappointed with the customer service upon check in. The employee did not not say any information about breakfast in the morning or about the pool hours. He was rude and not very friendly. I ended up talking with two other employees during my stay and they were nice and informative. But I was definitely surprised by how rude my first encounter was when I walked in with my family. I’ve always had excellent experiences and customer service at other holiday inn’s.

Clean, spacious rooms. Was a little disappointed the indoor pool was not heated. The kids couldn’t tolerate it for more than 10 minutes. We were able to check in early which was appreciated. Especially for the price point, we were extremely satisfied with this hotel.

We selected the Holiday Inn Express in Biddeford, ME in May 2024 for the UNE gradation ceremony. Given the Holiday Inn brand we thought this would be a good choice, but sadly that was not the case. Upon arrival, my family and I were greeted by an aggressive employee (Denson?) who simply greeted us with “license and credit card”. When we got into our room it smelled musty and moldy. The air conditioner blows directly onto the bed, the bathroom door was rusty and chipping onto the floor and the supposedly “firm” pillows were paper thin. But above all else, it was the terrible service that really stood out. Our second night there we almost had an altercation with Denson as our keys didn’t work. My wife proceeded (alone) to the front desk with our 5 yr old child to ask for replacement keys. He repeatedly stated that they do in fact work and did not offer any assistance to troubleshoot. After some back and forth, I finally had to intervene and told him the keys are not working. He aggressively grabbed them from my hand and walked away without a word. Assuming he was heading up to the room, we followed him and after another aggressive exchange he finally admitted there was a problem with the door key pad, not the keys, and the keypad had to be reprogrammed. We stood outside our room for 10 min while he finally returned with a device to fix the door keypad. We will never again return; the hotel is run down, moldy, and the employees do not care about guest satisfaction whatsoever.

Close to family so we stay there a lot. Had an issue when we got there bjt was taken care

We’ve stayed her many times due its proximity to our grandchildren. Never had a problem. Quiet nights and comfortable beds.

Really average hotel stay. Room was missing bed sheets for the couch for our kids. Bathroom door barely closing. The hotel is getting catch by the years in general. Personnel was welcoming but I got a bit shocked by the fact that the person who responded to us wore gloves because they were taking care of the hotel garbage. Obviously the gloves were not removed. Not the worst we have seen but definitely not the best.

Motel was newer and updated. Breakfast was excellent and the kids loved the pool!!!!

Hotel was clean! Staff was friendly! Very nice complimentary breakfast that was helpful to feed the kids with lots of options!

Nice place to stay, staff was helpful and polite, the room was clean, the shower was strong and enjoyable and the check in was quick and easy, The breakfast was memorable as it was hot, very good, area was clean and the options were many. i would recommend this hotel to my friends and family.
