Tugboat Inn

The positive thing about the tugboat in is that it was right there at the harbor and within easy walking distance to the cute shops downtown. What we did not love about the tugboat inn was that the bathroom really needed to be renovated. The bathtub pooled water while you took a shower, and there was mold on the shower curtain. The room had been updated recently but was very small. Also, while there was an ice machine, there was no place on the entire property to fill up your water bottle. The sink in the bathroom sink was too small to do the job so I had to use the bath tub. I guess if they can charge as much as they are and still get business, good for them, but our family felt it was very overpriced for the quality of accommodations.

They put a family with little kids in the room directly above us so that’s what we heard all night thump thump thump!

The room was beautiful. It was in the old part of Tugboat Inn. We had our own balcony that looked out to the harbor. Our room was so quaint, great beds, pillows. My adult children loved it. It was quiet. Only downside was checkout was a little early at 10am. We can't wait to come back

Great location. Good size room. My only concerns were that the room had a bit of a smell, common to old hotels, which improved as your run the air and the parking is a struggle if you arrive around dinner when Tugboat Inn Restaurant is active because you share parking with the restaurant patrons. The checkin is also currently about a quarter mile away at another hotel lobby, which though there were signs was confusing. Despite those issues, we still loved it. The people in Boothbay Harbor are wonderful. It’s beautiful and historic. I would also recommend it to friends and family but I will give them a heads up to arrive a little early for parking and where to go to check in.
