Absolutely extraordinary property! It is truly the grand dame of Southwest Harbor and a throwback to another time. Very few places like this exist anymore. Beautiful and light filled rooms with historic furnishings throughout the hotel. Board games, puzzles, and books available for guests. Incredible views and a sweeping lawn with croquet courts down to the water’s edge. Boathouse Restaurant has a terrific menu with something for everyone. Breakfast inside the hotel is fantastic. Hotel also has a free lecture series on a diversity of topics, complete with refreshments of lemonade and cookies! Brian, on staff, is THE BEST and will go above and beyond. He also really takes the time to get to know his guests. The Claremont is like family!

Right on the water with beautiful views! Lovely wrap around porch with rocking chairs. Large family rooms to relax. Delicious breakfast.
