The Mulberry Hotel

It unfortunately took 45 mins to check us in. The app had me make the reservation for that day (it was right after midnight) but they had to redo the dates and call Expedia to fix. The room was pretty clean, except a can opener was left on the dresser from the previous traveler. The bed was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good. The kids had cereal and I had a bagel. The staff was friendly. I will stay again if ever in the area, even with the check in hiccup.

My husband stays at this hotel for business trips. This was the first time I got to join him for a family trip. I was so impressed with the cleanliness and a friendly staff. What a great way place to stay!

We had to leave only a few hours after checking in due to a family situation at home. The room seemed fine but it was an ADA room which was odd. We did not need or request that.

The property is not in a terrible but not great. The hotel is nice, clean and we did feel safe. Well lit parking and they. Called me to confirm my late arrival. Very satisfied. Decent place to come with family. Will stay again. Food is typical.

First time and definitely will be back. What a wonderful hotel super close to the Horseshoe Casino. The property is clean and when you walk in it smells like someone has been cleaning. The decor is beautiful. The rooms are the star of your stay. Full kitchen with pots and pans to cook!!! Plus plates, cups, everything you need. We stayed in a double queen room and it’s by far the biggest rooms in comparison to the Holiday Inns or a Marriot property. Loved the shower, the water pressure was amazing. Breakfast is served. Only suggestion is to have another waffle maker. Lots of people waiting for one while a guest was making 4 or 5 waffles for his family. Very small issue but I could see guests face as they were frustrated. Loved the back patio. Sat out there to drink my coffee. Overall this place is a 10 out of 10! Mrs. Betty was super nice along with the lady serving breakfast. She was working super hard.

The hotel was clean and well maintained. It was in a safe area and off the main street with a few fast food restaurants, which was good for a small town on the outskirts of Lake Charles. I would stay here again when visiting family in Lake Charles.

Mrs. Teri at the front desk got the teip off to a great start with a friendly and opening welcome! Greeting myself and the family as soon as we entered and gave all the information very detailed and in depth. We will be back!!

This property is a hidden gem. The property was clean leash check in and personable care and service from the owner and staff. I enjoyed the fact that an owner considering guest would take the time to talk and consider guest concerns. My family was very pleased with our stay.

The rooms were extremely clean, the beds were great to sleep in, however, the pillows were a little too soft, and rather small. I didn't give it a five-star rating because the phone did not work, I had to unplug the line from the phone and plug it back every time I wanted to use it and when I brought this to the attention of the front desk, they did not offer to come and fix it. The walls are rather thin and you hear the conversations of the people next door, plus you hear the television through the wall until the early hours of the morning. The fan in the bathroom comes on when you turn the light on and it's rather loud. The toilet is for a child and not an adult, and is rather small. The toilet paper holder ejects the toilet paper when you try to pull the paper off the roll. I didn't put all of these negative items in the review.
