Residence Inn Lexington Keeneland/Airport

Hotel was in a good location close to restaurants and stores. Easy check in. Pool was warm and hot tub was nice too. Though the hotel seemed a little dated it was well kept up. Hotels.com lists that the hotel has free roll-a-way beds which we were expecting to have to fit our family. However the hotel told us they do not have them and that Hotels.com falsely advertises them. We checked the actual Marriott website and sure enough it does not list them as an amenity or extra. Sadly since we booked with hotels.com and not Marriott itself we could not get a room upgrade. So one kid had to sleep on the couch cushions on the floor. Also dishes in the cabinets and drawers were not clean so we had to wash them before use.

We have now stayed twice in the last three years while visiting family in the area over the holidays and it is definitely our favorite place to stay.

The facility is run down and not maintained. We reported to the front desk the following on more than one occasion and no attempt to correct anything was taken: 1) the dishwasher leaked water through the air vent at the sink and beneath the sink into the lower cabinet and ont to the floor. Also it was the noisiest dishwasher I've ever heard. 2) the lower inside refrigerator door shelf came completly off when opening the door. Looking closely the shelf has been scotch taped back on previously in the facility's attempt to correct this issue. 3) the couch drooped in the center as if an elepant had sat on it and was not usable. When reported to the front desk, the attendant immediately replied, "the couich will not be replaced or repaired, they will not do this.: They was interpreted to mean the facilityh owners. 4) the bananas that we were served for breakfast were rotten every day! 5) no consideration was taken as to assing rooms with children to be lodged on the lower floor. The room above us had children jumping off their beds and running across the floor as late as midnight and as early as 5:00am. 8) the outside patio furniture had no furniture pads for any of the furniture. 9) our suite only had enough coffee mugs for 3 people. When we asked for another coffe mug we were told that we would have to grab a paper cup from the lobby if we wanted another mug. THERE IS WAY MORE BUT WE'RE LIMITED TO 1500 WORDS ON OUR RESPONSE. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!!!!!!

Take my grand kids to this hotel (in my neighborhood) often so that they can swim indoors. The male that checked us in had the personality of a fly. So that started off the outing. The pool had no towels but when we asked for them he said he would bring us some instead of just handing them to me while I had 2 kids ready to hit the pool. He did bring them to the pool 30 mins later but brought 4 there was no less than 15 people in the pool area needing towels. Hot tub was warm at best but we still used it. The rest of the staff was great and our room was clean. Will stay there again. Just hope he is not the one we have to deal with.

While the staff were helpful and friendly, the cleanliness of the room was called into question a few times. There were water spots in the bathroom from lack of the use of the exhaust fan that were not tidied up and they left materials from the previous guest in the nightstand. the breakfast was subpar, but it was free so I guess I can't complain much. the pool was nice, although cold at times - my kids didn't care either way.
