Holiday Inn Salina, an IHG Hotel

The whirlpool wasn’t working and pool wasn’t recirculating and there was big clumps of hair floating around in it. I booked the room for a birthday celebration for my child because of the pool and whirlpool. Big disappointment

The hotel was perfectly fine, and I would stay there again. However, the front desk clerk who worked when we checked in was probably the rudest clerk I’ve ever encountered. Not only was she rude when she couldn’t find my reservation (which I had), she was rude to my family members who went to the front desk to buy snacks and then to my family member who simply asked where the pool was located. Everything else was fine, and again, I would still stay there. I just hope to not run into that clerk agsin.

Everything but the customer service was great. Clean, comfortable & good amenities. However, when we arrived it seemed the front desk person had better things to do than greet us and check us in. We got a key to someone else’s room, causing us to to walk in to a room with someone in it. We returned downstairs to resolve it, without a apology for us or the person we walked in on. She said “this is the second time this has happened to me today”. Then, the next day our key wouldn’t work. She my husband goes down to figure it out, tells the room number and she activated another key without even asking his name. Definitely didn’t feel secure so we kept the dead bolt and extra lock on but we worried about our items while we were gone. We stayed over Easter weekend and we went down for breakfast at 10 and they had closed a hour early. We didn’t see any signs mentioning it, then we saw a small sign out of sight with a paragraph explaining. There should have been a obvious sign, this was very frustrating with kids and there was multiple other guests upset about it too.
