Holiday Inn Express & Suites Olathe West, an IHG Hotel

We unfortunately had no hot water to shower and made for a very difficult morning for our family.

Nice hotel. Only issue was kids running and being loud on 4th floor.

It was a fine stay. The pool is lacking, so glad we brought our own toys. When we first got into our room, their was pee on the seat of the toilet… gross. Also, they ran out of oatmeal every day—not sure why they didn’t have a system down for readying the next batch. Also the TV had a streaming option that did not work (they gave me a code to login to WiFi instead of how I needed to connect to the TV for it to stream properly). I called two nights in a row to get help with it. Both times they directed me to their TV provider. The second night I actually called and they said it was an issue with the property and, like me, were annoyed the hotel just sort of shrugged off the issue. The third night I gave up and we watched what we could find on the TV although only one kid channel option and of course inappropriate commercials for kids on a Saturday night. Just don’t offer it if it doesn’t work! I won’t be back, but it wasn’t awful, but it wasn’t the best either.

We travelled with a baby and were going to be staying for 4 nights and everything was going well until we had to request housekeeping services. We called the request in around noon, but when we returned to the room after 9pm with the baby asleep, we saw that the room hadn’t been attended to. As exhausted as were were, we really needed housekeeping to come into our room (traveling with babies means that messes are made that can’t be ignored), so we called the front desk and the woman there saw that we had placed a request earlier. She herself showed up to clean the room, and she brought along a walkie-talkie that kept ringing very loudly and very frequently, on top of that she kept dashing out of the room. With the baby asleep we asked her if she could turn down the walkie-talkie due to the sleeping baby, but she said she needed to have it on her since she was manning the front desk by herself. The baby stayed asleep, until she came into the room for the last time and loudly stated something I didn’t make out since i rushed over to the baby to pick him up as he had started to cry. The inconsideration was upsetting more so because the situation could have been avoided since there had been plenty of time for the room to have been taken care of. I’ve always had great experiences staying at Holiday Inns, and it has been my preferred hotel chain when i travel, which makes this whole thing even more disappointing.

The staff was very friendly and the hotel is brand new! The room was comfortable and easily fit all 6 of us (2 adults, 4 kids) with 2 queens and a pull out. The breakfast was a variety selection with a little something for everyone. We will definitely stay here again in the future!

This place was clean and the staff was very friendly. This is the first hotel I have been to with an acoustic door between the entry area and sleeping area. That’s a brilliant feature for anyone with kids!

We really liked that they had a beautiful outdoor patio with fire pit. Was so relaxing to sit out there in the evening and nice in the morning with sun coming up. Really loved that. Kids enjoyed the pool. It was a little small but they had fun. Pool is from 3 ft. to 5 ft. So worked for us. Lots of towels and safety stuff there when you swim , very nice. People there were very helpful and kind. Breakfast was wonderful. Pancakes were yummy.This is a great place to stay with family.
