Hotel Ottumwa

This is a property that has a special memory in my family's hearts so I was pleased to see it has been restored to life and living.

Called a few days before going there and our reservation had been cancelled - but we didn't and don't know who did it. Was full, but they found us a room that wasn't usually used because of water problem, but worked for us. Sister got there for a two night stay and found out they didn't have one of the reservations, both made at same time. Other party with four kids had two rooms, one on each of two floors. Should have at least been close by on same floor. Reservations guy was not too interested in hearing our problems ! Almost to the point of being unfriendly. Old type air conditioning in walls, very noisy. Numerous ones in large rooms, more than one running. Need more experienced/professional reservation clerk.
