The Union Club Hotel at Purdue University, Autograph Collection

Super cute hotel, convenient for my family because we did the Purdue College tour. It was very convenient, the staff are very helpful and friendly. The place is clean, safe and flexible with the changes we asked from our reservation. If they are looking to improve their services I will suggest better mattress for the sofa bed (this is the reason why I asked to change room). Also, more options in food for their restaurant will be nice. However, we enjoyed it!

I truly don't understand how this hotel garnered so many top reviews. You all must have been blinded by how happy you were to see your kids. I expect to be greeted and helped on my journey at a $230+ per night hotel. No one was available when I pulled up so I grabbed the cart and loaded my own bags. Then the valet came out and held the door for ME to roll my bags in. M The check-in agent was lovely. We chatted and she rolled my bags to the elevator then sent me up alone to do the rest, which included navigating the obstacle course of the second floor game room and two more doors...alone. Now, for the room...I walked in to see a huge blonde hair leaning on my towels (see pic) as soon as I entered the bathroom, with its chipped fixtures (see pic). The entryway light was out. The tv was glitching (see pic). There were crumbs on the bedside table (see pic). I could hear every footstep my neighbor in the next room took: drop his shoes, grab a coffee mug, ruffle through the closet. Everything. Yes, the decor is very cool. Yes there are multiple restaurant options. And maybe we were spoiled by staying at Bottleworks in Indy the nights before this leg of the trip, where the service was outstanding for $59 LESS per night. I love that the hotel employs students. Send them to see how a luxury hotel works to emulate excellent service. No matter how captive your clientele or your location on campus, you have no right to charge this much. Never staying here again.
