Best Western Classic Inn

The hotel was undergoing remodeling, with torn-up flooring creating numerous tripping hazards. The beds were extremely uncomfortable, leaving me sore upon waking, and the rooms were dirty. My family has stayed at numerous Best Western’s and this one was horrible.

It was under construction, like major construction to where we thought they were closed when we drove up. The elevator didn’t work, so we had to carry a stroller, and three kids and tons of luggage up the stairs. I would have understood the construction, but there was no warning of this before we booked. And the price of the booking didn’t reflect the poor condition it was in. No discount offered.

The young lady that checked us in, Jennifer, was pleasant. However, that’s where the enjoyment ended. The room needs a deep clean. Hair in the bed. Corners are gross. There were no linens for the pull out. There was a party going on we were told would be done by 3PM so we may use the pool with my special needs son without there being 20 loud, obnoxious kids there. They did not leave until after 9PM. Running up and down the hallways screaming. The second shift desk clerk was rude. The room was never dark enough to sleep decently. The blinds don’t cover the whole window and the parking lot light was right at our window. Breakfast was ok, but not much selection and the fruit was rotten. Just a miserable experience.

After 9 hours of driving, pulled off the highway to get a room. Chose this hotel from the other reviews. Honestly not sure how they rated it a 10! Clerks were all nice, elevator is sketchy, room had a strange smell that you got used to until coming back in it, stains on hallway & room carpets, bed was a large king, comfy and appeared clean, I included pictures of the bathroom, no covers on the electrical outlets in my room atleast and prayed all night my car didn't get broke into. Breakfast was a 4/10. Planned to use the pool but it was small with a bunch of kids already plus a couple lights were flashing/going out. Glad i didn't pick an $85 hotel in this city but not pleased with this $150 hotel on a Wednesday night. It is an old building that appears to have been renovated.

All was fine at check-in, staff was very kind and helpful. Then we went to the pool and there were no lights on and no towels available, went to front desk to ask for some assistance and staff was screaming at eachother for the whole hotel to clearly hear, once we finally got helped we went swimming, abiut 10 min in another guest told us a child had pooped in the pool earlier and no one cleaned it up on the side or in the pool itself, and the staff had known about it. Room temp was quite warm even with the air turned as low as it would go. Checkout was normal.

The front desk staff were amazing. My husband has walking difficulties and I asked if we could be on the first floor close to an entrance/exit. They put us in the very first room closest to the exit. It was the perfect location and I was very appreciative. The breakfast was very good. Food was hot and plentiful. Will definitely stay there again when we have family gatherings.
