Hyatt Place South Bend / Mishawaka

We have a family of 6. Typical suite with pull out couch. It was clean and the staff was very friendly. We stayed 2 nights and had a great stay. We will stay here again when we are in the area.

Nice large room, comfortable bed. The room and hotel was clean. Breakfast was nice and they had a good amount of choices. We would stay again next time we are travelling through. We usually stay at a hotel down the road but this was much better for our family or 4.

I stay here whenever I'm in the area. The front desk staff are great! There are often kids sports teams here, so it's quite busy, but that's never been a problem.

Very nice place. Unfortunately there was a soccer camp or something going on there and there were dozens of children roaming the halls unattended. Other that that it was very clean and spacious. Good breakfast too!

The room was nice, spacious, and mattresses were very comfortable. At the busy evening arrival time, there was only one staff person. She was running the front desk, serving at the bar, and trying to keep pool towels at the pool all at the same time, so either someone called off or the hotel is sadly understaffed. This sadly affected customer service as someone was always waiting. Also, the pool was so cloudy and filled with hairballs. The amount of chlorine/chemicals to compensate burned my eyes just sitting on the deck. There was a large group of kids/pre-teens unsupervised and kept opening and closing the external pool doors, allowing cold air in and a safety hazard allowing people from the parking lot free access to the pool without key card. Breakfast was more than adequate- fresh hot eggs, potatoes, ham, yogurt parfait, waffles etc. The hotel was nice overall. Unfortunately, other guests disrespecting pool rules and cleanliness of the pool are memorable. Perhaps having security cameras or an extra person to “walk the rounds” would deter other guests poor choices.

My family and I stayed at this hotel for 3 Days 2 nights it was a staycation for us and we enjoyed every moment of it from the pool to being able to go into the exercise room and work out the buffet breakfast was excellent I would definitely come back again

Traveled with 3 children ages 10 and under. The room was spacious and the breakfast was great. Breakfast included hot options like French toast sticks, eggs, ham, and potatoes. Perfect overnight stay for our family.

For the second year in a row we chose to stay here for our annual anniversary trip. Last year was awful but the staff tried to make it right so we decided to give them another chance this year. This time was even worse. At check in we were reminded that 10pm is quiet time and told about breakfast etc. We had gone out for dinner and returned home o the hotel around 10pm to find the lobby packed with drunken adults and young children running literally everywhere. We went to our room on the 4th floor thinking it’s far away so it will be quiet. We got off the elevator and there were unattended children running and yelling from each end of the hallway. We gave it until a little after 11 when they were continuously banging on our door and still yelling when we went to front desk. There were two ladies working. The first immediately apologized and said she would go walk the floors but Amanda (I believe was her name) wanted to talk to us. Amanda walked over and we told her what was going on and she replied, “So do you want to stay here or not. I can’t physically remove people from the hotel.” I was only asking for someone to enforce the rules they asked us to follow. She was more concerned with continuing to serve the already drunken parents as they let their kids run unsupervised to other guests rooms than taking care of an issue. There was garbage and smashed food all over the hotel halls and lobby this year. It was absolutely disgusting and incredibly frustrating!

The best place to stay with your family.

Although the property was nice enough, and the front desk staff was friendly, we got almost no sleep the two nights we stayed there. Lumpy uncomfortable bed, many very noisy children running around until after midnight, a hard to control room temperature, and to top it off, our room never got made up and cleaned after our first night.
