First time staying here, and I will return. This is not really a place for families with smaller children. There is nothing for kids to do here, but it is an excellent place for folks like me wanting to relax in the company of great small town. Room was clean and the bed and bedding was very comfy. Decent TV and selection of channels, including HBO. Bathroom was very clean and in good shape. Good water pressure/plenty of hot water. WiFi was impressively fast for hotel. Breakfast was okay. Small selection and the gravy was ice cold (I think they forgot to plug in the Crock Pot). It was still acceptable for a free continental breakfast. Service was good and person I think was the owner came out to help explain confusion I had over Expedia not charging my card. Plenty of shopping and great restaurants within walking distance, and nice little town of Milton, KY is just over the river (3 mins). Clifty Fall State Park is why we were there, and it is only a 10 minute drive. I would stay here again.

We stayed in a handi-capped accessible room. Unfortunately the toilet was toddler sized and the bathtub was a very high. Difficult for someone with a disability to navigate.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hillside Inn! From our first day there, the lady at the desk and the maid were delightful and helpful. We found the room VERY clean, with lots of towels. The bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed the turbo bathtub, as well as the fireplace. We will definitely recommend the Hillside Inn to our friends and family.

I booked a king-bed room for my daughter & I and at the last minute my husband decided to join us. We were coming down for another visit to Hanover College. The website stated that this room, “”sleeps 3,” and I asked my husband if we should switch to a double queen, but he actually as back issues and doesn’t mind sleeping in a chair with his legs up. So, that was our plan. The front desk clerk, upon realizing all 3 of us intended to stay in this one room, was aghast and made her displeasure known. She stated, “I don’t the kids she’ll like this!” We didn’t know to whom she was referring and I did tell her that the website stated it sleeps 3, to which she snapped she’d have to look that up. I encouraged her to do so, but in the meantime, we just wanted to check in so we could grab dinner. She finally relented. Needless to say, no extra blankets, sheets, nor towels were offered to us and I did not ask for fear of her wrath. We were only there to sleep one night and go. Overall, the decor is old (get rid of the dusty plastic flowers!), but clean. We liked the view from our balcony and the convenience to restaurants. The free breakfast was primarily microwaved bacon & eggs, toast-yourself bagels, etc, although the make-yourself waffles were good.

We arrived late and were pleasantly surprised to find we could get a late check out. Lindsay was wonderful and offered to bring extra bath items so we could all (2 adults 3 kids) have enough shampoo. Beds were comfy room was clean
