Tru by Hilton Elkhart, IN

Fantastic hotel! We were driving through on a road trip and only there about 8 hrs but wish we were staying longer! Super clean room. Love the hard floors instead of carpet. Clean. Digital key was great since we got there so late. Beds and shower were awesome. Breakfast was ok. Typical hotel food. The kids wish we had more time for the pool table and games in the lobby.

Perfect room for an overnight stay on the road with my kids.

I have stayed here 3 times now with my dog while passing through on a long trip to family. The staff is wonderful, place is very clean, and I love the availability of hot coffee and tea in the lobby. There is also a big yard in which to walk the dog. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks so much!

I like how colorful it was and the location mural on the wall in the lobby area. I loved how the soap, shampoo, conditioner, etc were in large containers that were easy to use as opposed to tiny bottles where its hard to get anything out at other places. Plus having plenty of shampoo and conditiner was a major plus since I have long hair. Kinda wish there was a step in the shower to put my foot on for when Im shaving my legs but thats ok. The bed was one mattress on a hard surface, so I didnt feel like it was the most comfy bed. If it had a spring mattress underneath then I'm sure it would have been perfect. My little kid said she was comfortable. I noticed the lady taking care of breakfaat had 2 small kids with her. At first I thought she was a hotel guest and then relaized she worked there. I love that this hotel allowed her to bring her toddler and young child to work, bc anyone with a kid knows how expensive childcare is or what if her sitter was sick, atleast she was still able to work and earn money. So kudos to this hotel for being kid friendly. There's a pool table toys, a tv, couches, assorted tables and seating in the lobby.

The hotel was extremely clean and that's hard to find in a pet-friendly environment. The majority of the staff was ABUNDANTLY helpful and nice. The check-in lady could've been a bit more personable. There were games in the lobby which helped the family-friendly aspect as well as recommendations for local to-dos written near the elevator. The fitness room had very nice equipment.
