Excellent place to stay at especially since they have it separated into families or adults-only sections. The beach is well maintained with plenty of beach sports options.

Absolutely stellar! Highly recommend for a romantic, chill getaway. Room was gorgeous. Loved that there was an adult only pool and hot tub - separate family friendly area - and both had lifts for people with mobility impairments. It was so serene. Location is good - not too far from the 7 mile bridge so easy to do a day trip to Bahia Honda or even key west, and very close to the turtle hospital (a must see). They also have a lot of water sports options though we didn’t try them out - next time. Staff were very pleasant, especially Tracy in the restaurant. New mixologist did a great job with cocktails and there are lots of nice wines. Bar closes at 10 though so if you are looking for a party spot, this probably isn’t it (though you can always get a bottle of wine for your room). We were also so happy that the hotel cares about the environment- it was literally the only place in the keys that didn’t give us plastic straws and disposable glasses. Gorgeous views from the rooftop deck. Every amenity was top notch.

Beautiful waterfront resort, adults boy option or family option, wonderful staff

This was a great property and location. We enjoyed our stay in one of the family friendly rooms that was three bedrooms with kitchen. The only constructive feedback that was also provided at checkout was: a few more cooking utensils would have been helpful as well as onsite laundry facilities. If we are traveling back to this area, we would definitely stay here again.

We loved our stay at Grassy Flats and are returning next year. It was so relaxing and quiet, the staff were very friendly, answered all of our questions and just over all pleasant. We stayed in the adult only area. Our room overlooked the ocean (the view was fantastic) and the adult pool was right below us. The breezes on our balcony were awesome. The tiki bar was nice but a little pricey. Every morning we enjoyed complimentary fresh brewed coffee from there. The beach was way different than we were expecting. It is called Grassy Flats for a reason. The shoreline is all grass and the ocean is very shallow. If you are looking to walk on a sandy beach every morning this is not the place to do it but they have public beaches close by where you can do that. Our grandkids visited and went kayaking out in the ocean. The only bad part was having to walk through the grass and seaweed but once they got out to the water it was fun and the shallow water let them explore living ocean life and the adults didn't worry about them in the shallow water. This is definitely a top place to stay in Marathon.
