Staff was very friendly, so much to do right at the property that my family enjoys. We will definitely be back!

I have previously stayed in this hotel with my family. We usually all rent small rooms and spend the weekend there. We figured since we always just stay in one persons room, this time we would rent the townhouse together. When we first arrived the front desk staff was extremely rude and let us know that there couldn’t be more than 6 people. The townhouse has two rooms with 1 king bed and 1 sofa each. Plus a sofa bed room downstairs. There was plenty of space for more people. I showed them that online it says you can pay for additional guest ($15 per guest) and they told me in a nasty attitude to ignore anything the website says. We tried to reason with the staff and they were just closed off and unwilling to help us at all. I would understand if the hotel provided breakfast or some additional amenities but they don’t. We bring our own food so it’s like we are stealing anything from the hotel. The front desk staff even threaten us with calling the cops if they saw more than the 6 desk in our rental unit. We did see throughout the hotel that in other rooms with less beds there was an excessive amount of guest. So I guess the new policy only applies to certain people. These rooms were booked earlier this year and being 4th of July weekend, my family ended up having to rent in a very expensive hotel near by and when they came the next day to just hang out again the staff seems to be overly excited to target my family once again. BEWARE PLZ READ...when we stayed here we rented a kayak and in order to rent you have to leave your card and ID untill you return it. I can under needing a down payment or card on file but why did they need both we did it tho as this is how they run things but the next day 3 transactions came on my card for 3 online purchases for BJ wholesale store which we did not do for over $1,000 and I was on vacation for a week and only used my card 2 time as the rest of the trip we used my husband with that being said it could only be 2 places here or the other place but to do online purchases with BJ you need to enter the zip which conveniently they had so I reached out to the owners email to let him know of what happened so he can check the cameras to see the person at the front desk so this doesn't happen to anyone else and he blocked my email with no professional response to look into then we found out later the guy at the front was his nephew so beware not worth the stay as a lot more issues with service and room with the stay but was over looking this till our card was used fraudulent and seeing they didnt care and blocked me make them seem guilty. After looking into reviews more they dont seem to care or reply to people who have any issues STAY CLEAR not worth the trouble. Im looking into doing more to get this place investigated for fraud before this happens to more families coming to enjoy vacation here. Hope this help others avoid getting scammed.

From the time we arrived, the attendant gave us trouble. When I made the reservation, it was with intent to accommodate my large family. When you enter the quantity of guest on the site, that’s the room it gave us the price we paid was for a large family. I could have easily paid for 3 rooms with no problem. The attendant, told us he would have to throw us out. Have our extra vehicles towed. He even went as far as telling us that he would have to call the police on us. I have no problems in getting extra rooms. The site needs to be updated if it will only holds 2 guests. Plenty of hotels nearby. We won’t be staying there ever again.

An older renovated motel with very small basic rooms. Good location but right beside the highway with associated noise. Other services located at least 6 miles away. Pool & liquor store on premises. Caters to fishing crowd and parking is limited due to parked boat trailers. A pleasant family run operation.

This was our 1st time here, It was amazing, the staff is beyond friendly, very family oriented. Had a great time for a small property,

#1. The rusty window room air-conditioner was a roaring nightmare. The room was right by the ocean and extremely humid all day. We had to rely on the air-conditioner for the night. However, it was too old to function quietly. The sound disrupted my sleep; my wife and I woke up a few times. #2. All the furniture was dirty. The table, chair, dresser and chest were all covered with a thin layer of filthy and adhesive film. Although the bed sheets were clean, the rest of the room was inhabitable. A motel would do better than this place. #3. Congested parking area. It was a dead-end unpaved road with only one way in and out. And the assigned parking space was quite limited. You had to be really careful navigating a vehicle. It may not be a deal breaker but didn't set your mood bright. #4. Blocked sunset view. I noticed critical reviews before booking this lodge and was still impressed that most reviewers were amazed at the sunset view. However, no one pointed out that the sunset was COMPLETELY blocked by the overseas highway. There is NO spot on this property where you can enjoy a real sunset view. #5. Noise, noise, noise. Guests had to share the lodge with owner's BIG family. Kids were always around, running and goofy. Guest rooms were just several steps away from a restaurant, Lick It BBQ & Wood Fire Pizza, with outside seating only which was those tiki huts in the lodge. Local residents gathered here from dusk till late night.

At first, the place is amazing with its own private little beach. However, that paradise ends quickly with extremely loud guests blasting music, partying loud and constant yelling until about 10-11pm. You can’t enjoy the sunset without having to hear guest scream at each other from various extremes of the properties. At two different occasions in the same day, two guest just parked their boats and blasted for hours their own, not family friendly, music. However, the property states no parties at all, and no loud music after 9pm. From the moment we woke up until 11pm all you heard was loud guests, their music and kids screaming, even from inside our room. At night, these same guests take over the pool and you just feel like you are at somebody’s family reunion. It’s a shame how lack of enforcement from management has ruined this experience.
