Captain Pips Marina & Hideaway

Neat little spot in the central Keys! The grounds and layout of Captain Pips make you feel like you’re staying at a little resort! The several small buildings that house the rooms are colourful and have nice landscaping. I had some concerns the local restaurant (Porkys?) would be a dive bar, but we actually shared a great dinner and breakfast by the water there, really liked it for our family’s food needs. And the kids fed fish and saw a manatee in the harbour out front. The only down side is the flooring in our room, and the furnishings, all seemed a bit worn and dated. Not a major issue, but hopefully they do some interior renovations soon to really make you feel like you’re at a 4-5 star mini resort.

It was perfect for our family… boat was right outside our door.

The check out time 10:00 am every where else is 11 and the cleaning lady was at our door at 10 ! Felt rushed and that’s not a nice feeling especially when your there for your birthday with your family

This Resort is perfectly managed, and the employees have a sense of family pride in everything they do. There is not a better place to stay in Marathon!

Great central location for family adventures in the keys

My family and I enjoyed our stay. The room was very clean and front staff was very friendly.

Stayed here when we were in Marathon Key for a wedding. We were pleasantly surprised by the room, the property, and all the available activities (which we did not have time to do unfortunately.). Looking to take the whole family back for a real vacation!

After being moved to another room due to a water leak in the roof, the family next to us was very loud and played their tv and music very loud. They argued most of the night.

I was down here for a funeral looking at different places and Captain Pip's was by far the best one. The staff was kind and accommodating! The cleaning lady was the kindest woman I've ever met! The only issue was a woman in the next room making demonic noises at night and hacking up her lung every morning - but that's not the hotel's fault! This place was pleasant to stay at and had great ocean views. I will absolutely be back to stay here. The room was clean, cool, and comfortable! Although we did not have time to use them kayaks and bike rentals were included in our hotel fee, and that is extremely convenient for families or people traveling here for vacation! I gotta be honest this trip was really difficult for me regarding the circumstances but Captain Pip's made my stay all the more wonderful. Thanks guys!! My family and i stayed here for 3 nights and we loved it. We used all the amenities including the bikes, the kayaks, the dock for fishing, and even went on the snorkeling trip that docks out here. The room we stayed in was clean and had looked updated. The staff was really nice and friendly and super accommodating.
